So Henry happened yesterday.

To say Veronica wasn't scared would be the biggest lie of the century. She was so terrified that she ended up sleeping by Matt and to say that pissed me off would be a huge understatement.

Last night, while we were all still sitting in the den, Veronica asked Matt if she could sleep with him tonight and even though I tried my hardest not to show her just how much I hated that idea, I just held onto her tightly, hoping it would help calm my raging mind down.

This morning when I woke up, I jumped in the shower before getting ready for school and while I was sitting in the kitchen having breakfast with mom and Emily, I sent Veronica a text informing her I would be taking her to school this morning.

Veronica and I had a five minute argument, her protesting and me insisting, before she finally gave in and allowed me to take her to school. Zayn caught a lift with Matt while Veronica and Cole caught a lift with me.

When we pull into my usual parking at school, our friends are all sitting in the parking lot by River's car. Zayn is the first one to greet Veronica while River greets me. It isn't until Matt hugs Veronica that I feel my facing pulling into a scowl and the second he pulls away, I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her to my side.

I know I'm being unreasonable, trust me I am well aware of my behavior, but it's kind of hard not to get jealous when your girlfriend sleeps in another guy's bed, and not just any guy, a guy that's literally known her whole life and living under the same roof as her.

I know River's picked up on my jealousy, the smirk on his face was a dead giveaway, and I know I'm going to hate myself for this later on.

During first period River sits next to me, instead of Matt, and won't 't stop teasing me about my possessive behavior. It was the longest 50 minutes ever!

It's currently second period, also known as the period I can finally relax. I have my girl beside me and without our friends around.

"You're cute when you're jealous." Veronica suddenly says, looking up at me with amusement dancing in her brown eyes.

I raise a brow and I look down at her. "What? Why would I be jealous?" I ask, causing her to chuckle.

I know exactly what she's talking about but I don't want to admit it to her. It's already embarrassing that River's picked up on it.

"Bub, did you honestly think I wouldn't notice?" She asks and I sigh. I run my fingers through my hair before pulling her body closer to mine.

She rests her head on my shoulder while I continue watching Mrs. Bath write on the board. Notes we're supposed to be taking down as well, but fuck these teachers write way too slow.

"You slept in another guy's bed, Firefly. Of course I'm not going to be happy about it. Sure, I understand why you did it but that doesn't mean I like it." I sigh and she raises her head off my shoulder and looks up at me with a little frown.

"Hey, you have absolutely nothing to be jealous about. Matt is my best friend. Heck, he's practically my brother. I've bathed with the dude when we were younger and whenever one of us slept over, we always ended up sharing a bed. Matt is no less my brother than Mason. We may not be blood related, but just the idea of sleeping with him in that way is disgusting. It's like me sleeping with Mason." She shudders, her face scrunching in disgust and I can't help but laugh at her expression.

Well that's a relief!

As my lips pull up into a smile, Veronica's eyes light up and the corners of her lips tug upwards in a smile. She cups my cheek with one and tilts her head slightly to the side, her eyes locked on mine as her thumb rubs soothingly on my cheek and I can't help but lean into her touch, causing her to smile softly.
