My alarm clock shrieks throughout my room causing me to groan out in annoyance as I roll over to shut it off. It's not that it woke me, because it didn't, it's just that now I actually have to get up and get ready for another day of hell.
I swing my legs off the side of the bed and drag my feet towards the bathroom for my morning shower. The hot water running over my tired eyes and sore muscles, relaxing them. Our first game of the season starts soon.
School just started and practice is already rough. My weekend was spent listening to my two best friends talk about the party from Friday. Apparently, Zayn slept with three different girls, which is no surprise, while River spent the night with Andrea.
Eventually, I decided to abandon my two childhood best friends to start with my homework.
After about fifteen minutes in the shower, I turn the water off and step out as I wrap the towel around my waist and walk into my room. After slipping on the hideous school uniform, I grab my school bag and phone before making my way downstairs to the kitchen.
"Morning, honey" Mom greets me while sliding a bowl of cereal across the table top towards me as I take a seat next to my baby sister.
"Morning." I grumble before pressing a kiss to Emily's forehead.
"Are you picking your sister up from school today?" She asks and I shake my head.
"Got practice." I say as I scoop a spoon full of fruity loops and bringing it to my mouth.
"No problem, honey." She smiles softly at me. I listen as my mother and sister talk about Emily's new friend, Cole, while I finish my breakfast. I already can't wait to just get home and climb into bed.
After greeting my mom, Emily and I are off to fetch Zayn before driving off to school. I pull up in my usual parking space in the school's parking lot, just as Veronica pulls up beside me in her usual spot. River on my other side.
I still can't believe this car belongs to Veronica. It looks brand new, not a single scratch in place. I was amazed when Matt told me the Subaru and my Challenger were her two dream cars. She just so happened to get the Subaru passed down to her by her brother.
Like I said, she gets what she wants.
I get out of my car, my face blank of any emotion. Veronica on the other hand seems to have her annoying smile on her face. "Good morning!" She greets with her wide smile as she waits for Andrea to get out of the car.
Easy there girlie, life isn't all sunshines and rainbows. Wake up!
"Hi." I mumble before turning my attention to Zayn who finally manage to get his ass out of the damn car. I hear Veronica mumbling out a "fine then" before the sound of her car locking goes off.
"Ve-Bear!" Zayn shouts as he runs over to Veronica and I roll my eyes. Why are my friends suddenly besties with these two girls? It's fucking annoying!
"Z!" Veronica beams with excitement. "Hey Riv" She hugs him and I notice Andrea blushing. She really should work on trying to hide her feelings for River. "I hear I missed out on a fight over you." Veronica chuckles and River laughs. Once again, Andrea blushes.
"It wasn't over him. Chick was testing me and you know how I get when I'm drunk!" Andrea defends, rolling her eyes.
When I heard that Andrea almost killed Stella, I burst out laughing. I really can't picture this girl getting angry or getting into fights. I didn't think she was the type to even hurt a fly, considering her best friend hates violence.
"Sadly I do. And I hate it!" Veronica rolls her eyes. Matt falls into step beside us and throws his arm around Veronica's shoulders, pulling her to his side as we all make our way to the school entrance.
