Chapter 45: Apparently Miracles Do Happen

Despite her not being at school today, I still feel like nothing and no one can ruin my mood, not even Tessa and her Slut squad.

Yesterday, while watching Fast 4, Veronica and I both managed to fall asleep, and only woke up when mom came to wake us up at 7:30pm to eat.

After we ate, Veronica and I cleaned the kitchen before we decided the five of us could go out for some ice cream. It was her way of apologizing to mom for all the stress she put mom through.

We ended up eating ice cream on the beach before I dropped the two Stone siblings off at home. When I got home, I jumped in the shower, completed my homework and, to my surprise, I was asleep by 10:30pm.

School was, well, school. Second period I actually went to class and asked Riley, the kid that sits in front of Veronica and I, to sit next to me for the day just so Tessa and Serena don't force their way next to me. To say the dude was shocked would be putting it lightly.

I know Riley has feeling for my girlfriend, but shame. He should start moving on. When lunch period rolls by, my friends wouldn't stop teasing me, then again, I saw it coming.

"Finally our parents are back together!" Zayn exclaims and while my friends all laugh, I stare back at the idiot beside me in confusion.

"What the fuck?" Parents? What is this fool talking about?

"Yeah. You and Ve-Bear." He says as if it's the most obvious thing and I'm the idiot for not understanding.

"You and Ve are considered the parents of the group." Matt laughs and I raise a brow at him.

"She's the youngest of us all and those two," I point a finger at River and Andrea. "Are dating longer than we are." I point out with a raised brow.

What on earth are my friends smoking and where the fuck are they getting it from?

"Apparently we're the boring couple and you guys are the responsible two out of us all." Andrea rolls her eyes, clearly offended. I mean, they are though, but I don't see how Veronica and I are the parents of the group? Someone want to enlighten me? Because I feel confused as fuck right now.

"Oh, look, Ve filmed a new TikTok video. She's probably bored as hell at home seeing as she's alone." Matt suddenly says, clearly trying to change the subject.

Wait.

"She's on TikTok?" I question, finding this bit of information surprising. "Since when and why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?"

Matt smirks before sliding his phone across the table to me. "Since last year." He chuckles.

Picking up the phone, the first thing I notice when I look at the video is that she's wearing the t-shirt I gave her yesterday at my place. Yes, she went out for ice cream wearing that.

The second thing I notice is that she's doing some Tik Tok dance I've seen a lot of people doing lately.

I have no idea what the dance is, but there's a soccer ball behind her so I'm guessing she's either about to go to the backyard or she just came from there.

"Isn't that your favorite t-shirt?" Zayn asks, also looking at the screen.

"At least I'm not the only one that's noticed." Matt teases and I roll my eyes.

Without answering them, I tap on her profile and start scrolling through her videos. I have to bite back a chuckle when I read her bio; The Middle Stone, biggest foodie, soccer freak, car obsessed, were all listed in her bio. It pretty much sums her up.
