i know this is boring but i bit you should read it as its interesting.
very few people knows about our ( afghans ) traditions and that's why someone asked me that why my brides in my stories wear white gowns?
so i got some time and tried to clear some questions.
so lets start your tour of AFGHANI WEDDINGS.
ENGAGEMENT:
its a gown in simple but some can choose something unique too.
mine was pink and my husband's was black suit with pink shirt and pink and black tie.
hand bouquet is bride's choice.
they wear two pair of clothes all their choice.
simple an other gown or choose something else if first one is gown.

HENNA:
these clothes are called ( GHAND AFGHANI ) its a traditions clothes which we wear in henna nights. with all the AFGHANI jewelry as well. which are silver with some precious stones.
the dress color is not necessary to be green it can be wear in what ever color they decide.

and the grooms wear white salwar kameez with a tradition waist coat.
still to be noted that they wear two pair of clothes.
if one is GHAND AFGHANI second is as they decide.

NEKAH:
This is the Nekah gown.
color can be light green to dark forest green but should be GREEN. and groom can choose his suit color as he wish but should look good with green.
and the jewelry is their choice.
mine was light green. and my husbands suit was white with light green dress shirt with white tie.
and my jewelry was a pearl set.

WEDDING:
And finally the wedding.
A white gown with all the accessories and the groom can choose his choice of suit.
the hand bouquet can be in any color too.
mine was same white gown with maroon hand bouquet and my husband's suit was a three piece black Armani suit with white dress shirt and maroon tie.
to be noted that NEKAH and WEDDING are held in same night. after the NEKAH bride change her clothes to white gown.
rukhasati happens in the same night too. after farewell from the wedding hall, she straight goes with her husband.

RECEPTION:
some brides try to look different, they try Lehenga or Anarkali suits.
or they can keep it simple with an other gown.
mine was a maroon and gold lehenga and my husband's clothes were a golden shirwani.
again there are two pair of clothes but their choice.
but:
