Finnaly. It took you so long to get out from your parents house. Don't get me wrong, they are great and have lead you through your life nicely but... You knew there was something bad about them. When you were younger they would argue and fight a lot. It wasn't pleasant thing to see...Now? They don't do it when you come over but you were sure that as soon as you step a foot out of the house, they start on another circle again. This thought made you tear up slightly, blurring the vision of the front glass of your car. "Raining already and now this?" You chuckled to yourself sadly, wiping the tears from your eyes.
As the rain tapped on your window like an unwanted guest and the trees passed you like dark crowds, a white entity apeared in front of your head lights. You stomped on the brakes and fliped your head foward because of the impact. As you slowly lifted it up, you saw a deer, just staring back at you. You had to smile at the creature's innocent eyes. You opened your door quietly and peeked out, having a better look at the furry beast. "Come on, can't you drive?" You chuckled quietly, trying to shoo it away. It just huffed warm air at you and continued it's way across the road, into the woods. You stood in the rain for a moment, thinking a little. When you relized that you're gonna be all soaked up, you crawled back into the car and continued your thinking. Perhaps you should...You should rest...There was a hotel by the road. Bates hotel I belive it was caled... You confirmed the destination in your head and drove off again, making sure to not hit anymore animals on your way there...
Timeskip because the writer has no clue what she is doing
You stopped at the parking lot, the hotel looming over you. You debated a little with yourself if you should head in. You still have your stuff with you... And there is no way you're making it home in this annoying rain so tired. Okay, in we go. You quickly grabbed your bags off the trunk and began speed walking towards the entrance. The door opened and you were imidiately welcomed with warm air and calming aura. It felt nice in here... You cleared the wet hair off your face, looking around. On the side, at the wall was a small reception desk. You walked towards it and noticed that noone was behind it...a little unusual... Nothing crazy though. You looked around a little more as you waited. A large stuffed owl was watching over the wooden staircase, along with other fellow birds that were on the walls. Thinking of that...Taxidermy seemed to be a well kept theme in this hotel. Deer heads on the walls, birds watching from above on sticks. It still looked comfortable though.
After a few minutes of waiting, you got tired and aproached your hand to the little bell. You hesitated for a moment but then rang anyway. Nothing happened for the longest while. Only after that a shout from under you could be heard. "I-I'M COMING!" The voice stuttered out, as some things were knocked over. It seemed as if the person was in the cellar of the hotel. "No rush!" You said happily as you calmed the voice on the other side. The voice clearly belonged to a male. It was soft and smooth. The person on it's own though...nervous. You probaly startled them. After another short while passed, the door to the left of the desk opened quickly. It gave you a little spook at first, but when you saw the man, you calmed down a lot more. He was nervous yes but...It looked adorible on him. As he walked closer, holding his hands you got a better look at him. Dark hair, acompanied with dark eyes that were glued onto you and a sweet smile. He was wearing a black, long sleeve T-shirt with a little baggy, creamy jeans.
"Hello, w-welcome to the Bates hotel. W-what can I-I do for you?" He welcomed you very politely as he walked behind the desk. "Thank you, I'd like a room for one. Most likely for this one night..." You said, smiling at him. "Alright, one room it is. I-I'll just need y-your name.." he said as he was writing down the room number. "(Y/n). (Y/n) (y/l/n)" you said.
"You have a very pretty name..." He smiled nervously as he wrote it down, trying to prevent the red from coming into his pale cheeks. You had to smile back at his reaction "Thanks. I didn't happen to catch yours though" you responded cheekily. It did make him happily embarrassed so he had to turn around. He got you the keys, and spoke again. "I-I'm sorry...I panicked. I-I should've been more of a gentleman a-and intoduce myself. M-my name i-is Norman...
N-Norman Bates" he stuttered out as he handed you the keys, steping from one leg to another. You grabbed the keys and gave him a reasuring smile. "You own the place?" You asked as you played with the keys a little. You noticed that poor Norman couldn't keep eye contact with you for long...poor baby was probably shy...
"Y-yes, me and my m-mother" he smiled proudly. He was clearly happy that he can take care of this place.
"I take good care of mother..." He said, now sounding a little tired.
"Oh that's nice..." You said sympaticaly. It took him out of his tiredness, leaving him with little questionmarks in his eyes.
"I think it's nice that you take care of your mother. Most would just put theirs in a retirement home" you explained a little before grabbing onto your bags. Norman just gave you a gentle, confirming nod."W-wait! Let me help you with those..." Norman motioned to your bags, there was no way of saying no to him. He insisted, and so you got to your room with a little help.
"O-oh one l-last thing miss (y/l/n)...
t-the residents next door tend to be...a l-little loud..." He said as he stretched his jaw in a ":[" motion. He was probably quite unhappy with it too. You giggled a bit at his reaction and gave him a nod, before a good night. You unpacked your clothes and pajamas, getting ready to sleep but just as you were brushing your teeth, you discovered what Norman meant by noisy neighbors. It was clearly a couple. An...agressive couple...their conversation went about like this.
1) Agressive shouting and arguments for 30 minutes
2) Random slaming againts a wall for about 5
3) Quiet for a long while.Better get sleep while you can...You snuggled up in your blankets, face burried in the soft pillows.

Chapters with Norm may not be that long and there probably won't be a lot of them... I'm sorry I love him but don't think I can make 7 chapters out of his story :(
