(Hey, just a quick heads up! The wishmaster is gonna break some movie rules in my fanfic... it won't be anything too much over the line but it will happen)

Oh what a stupid idea it was, to go for a walk when the weather forecast said it would rain.

You thought they were bluffing again due to a three day late storm. You quickly set the hood of your jacket on your head and took a sharp turn into an alley. There, you ran your way towards the docks. It was the fastest way to reach your home. As soon as you entered the markets path, you started speedwalking home.
(Remember to never run during a strong storm!)
As you quickly trotted around, trying to not slip or not bumb into anyone, you lost your own footing. You fell down on the wet concrete and imidiately felt a stunning pain in your mouth. At the moment, noone could care about what happened to your little self. You quickly turned, to see what was it that you tripped on.
A rock...
A rather bright, red stone.
No, not a stone, a gem.
It was as big as your palm and it shined in the rainy weather.

You looked around, if the gem wasn't from a nearby market stand, but there was nothing like that around. You couldn't bear just looking at the gem like that. You reached your hand out and stuffed it in yout pocket.
You got off the floor and continued speedwalking to your apartment.
It felt a little wrong, you felt like you were stealing the bright gem, but at the same time, you felt like you needed it. Like it called you to itself.

You were slowly aproaching your home, seeing noone around.
There was usualy this stupid guy, Buck I think his name was?
He wanted a toll for everyone that lived in the apartment. Almost every other evening, he'd arrive and wait for the residents to arrive. He'd basicaly force 'em to pay him a dollar or three and then he would let them enter. He was a bit younger than you, but all the more ferocious.
Why didn't anybody tell on him? God knows why...
Everyone living in the apartments were probably far too scared of the consequences.
Someone said that Buck has the ability to throw some people out of the house. And where would you go then?
You're already pretty bad as it is with money.

You quickly stomped up the metal stairs that were at the side of the building and busted your door open.
'God... I wish this would stop...' You thought, rubbing your wet eyes. You shook with your head and took off your jacket, hanging it on the coat hanger. You ramaged in the pocket of it and took out the large red gem. You started at it for a while. It's beautiful red glow hypnotized you.
A loud crack of a thunder awoke you from your thoughts.
"Let's see what you are about" You smiled at the gem and walked to the kitchen. You set the gem next to your closed laptop and were just about to investigate it under some closer light before...

You felt something in your mouth. That sharp stinging pain returned to you. You panicked a little. 'Oh please don't tell me' You thought as you opened up a drawer, taking out a small hand mirror. You opened your mouth, imidiately seeing the problem.
'Noo!' You set the mirror down, covering your face with shame. A chipped tooth. Almost a good half of it was missing, laying somewhere in the dock market.
"I can't go anywhere like that..." You murmured quietly, looking at your accident in the mirror again.
This day was just keep getting better and better...

You sighed, hiding the mirror and going to your laptop. You opened up the old thing and imidiately clicked open google. As the page loaded, your eyes slowly drifted over to the gem again. For some reason it partly crept you out. As if the gem was an eye, staring at you from your counter. It watched you, as you watched it. You gently tapped your nail on the nice, slim surface, watching the gem move from side to side as if it were a child's crib.
There was no scratch on the gem... it seemed as if it was just created, just now. There were no factory cuting lines on it, there was seemingly no mistakes.
You snaped back to reality when you relized your face was almost pressed right at the gem.
You cleared your throat and typed 'red gems' into google.
Obviously a bunch of useless information about ruby gems came out. You didn't think that this was a ruby. It just didn't feel like it.

After about half an hour of search, you got tired. You looked back at the gem. "I'm gonna call my dentist, you sit tight" You said to the item, smiling a little. It was a thing you did often, talking to inanimate objects.
It's one way to deal with your loneliness.
You got up, and were just about to walk into your bedroom before...
"I don't think I can even go anywhere" A deep, echo-y voice said, making you imidiately turn around in shock.
"Who the hell said that?" You asked, slowly making your way to the block of knifes. You got no answer.
"Who the hell is in my house?" You asked once more, grabing a meat knife and holding it protectively in front of you.
"You brought me here yourself..." The voice answered, sounding lightly annoyed.

Your eyes imidiately went to the red gem.
"Yes, you are looking directly at me now..." The voice said, sounding rather pleased now. You felt like passing out. Were you dreaming this? What the hell was up?
"Ookay... listen, I'm no expert but I don't think that beautiful rocks can talk" You said, lowering your weapon and slowly stepping closer.
"And I am not a rock... I am something far better..." The voice said, seducing you to the path of curiosity. "A-and what are you?" You struggled with the question a little.
The rock was silent for s good while, before actualy responding.
"If you'd want... I could show you..." It said. You felt un-easy almost imidiately.
"Okay, yeah, just... just uh, gimmie a moment yeah?" You asked the rock before running off to your bedroom and shutting the door very loudly.
You quickly grabbed your phone and called up a friend.
