I made my way home and ran into the house. I slammed the door behind me as the others looked at me, confused.

"Is there a reason that you came in here like something's chasing you?" Markus asked.

"Well, not something, but someone," I answered as my cousins looked at me weirdly. "It seems I had dinner with Pax's shrink's daughter."

"Wait. Doesn't that family own the college we attend?" Markus asked me.

"That and I'm sure when her dad meets me, I'm a dead man," I reasoned.

"Then don't be you. Problem solved," Matthew suggested.

"That's a big help," I grumbled.

"I'm curious if you finished the date or ran out on it," Mason mentioned.

The others looked at me, and I looked confused.

"Yep, you're a dead man when Daddy finds out," Markus remarked.

Great, that's all I need. I will die before I graduate college, like sooner than later.

Jesse

I sat there, wondering if my date would return, but I have a feeling he wouldn't.

"Excuse our tool of a cousin. He's not good with women," a guy mentioned.

"I take it that Kaxon doesn't date a lot," I said.

"Nope," everyone said.

A girl came out and sat down in Kaxon's seat. "I'm Selena. I lived with those guys," Selena said, pointing to the guys who waved. "That's my twin, Josie, who I didn't know about until my senior year in high school."

A girl waved to me.

"Kaxon is different and makes stupid decisions," Selena told me.

"That doesn't surprise me, considering most boys make stupid decisions. Take my family, who run rampant with boys. They all make stupid decisions. Idiot central called and wants the Jones, Frazier, and Shaw boys' back," I said, making Selena giggle.

"So, you're not mad?" Selena asked me.

"No," I answered with a look.

"Why the hell not?" A guy asked.

We looked at the guy.

"That's Parker, my boyfriend," Selena said.

I got up from my seat and walked over to the opening at the countertop.

"Because most people are nervous when they go on their first date. The person worries about screwing up that they'll make mistakes. You add the fact that someone will meet my dad, and that makes for a terrifying concept," I reasoned.

"Yeah, your dad can be scary," Paxton mentioned as I looked at him.

"My dad cares about my sister and me. He's your typical father. Skylar is dying to date, and I'm not," I reasoned.

"Please don't hurt Kaxon, or better yet, don't let your dad hurt him. That would be bad on so many levels," Patton mentioned.

"No worries," I said as I turned and left the house.

"Okay, that chick is odd," Payton mentioned.

"That makes the girl perfect for Kaxon since he's weird anyway," Parker added.

The strange part about this evening is that I enjoyed myself and found Kaxon's family fun. I returned to the dorms and went up to my room. I found Skylar in the room, writing.
