Kaxon
Valentine's Day arrived, and I planned a romantic night for Jesse, except for sex. I heard about Pat's butt cramp incident. That was a hell no, and if I can make it a romantic night, excluding sex, even better.
Markus went out with Hayden, and Mason had a date with Skylar. I set everything up at the house and ordered food. Okay, that's a lie. I know nothing about romance, so I called Dad.
We video chatted, and he guided me on what to do for my evening, then told me to buy a box of raincoats.
"Why do I need raincoats? I'm not having sex," I reasoned.
"Do you ever plan on having sex?" Dad asked me.
I thought about it. "Define planning and sex," I answered.
"Erin? Are you sure Kaxon is my kid?" Dad asked Ma.
"You were there when we conceived Kaxon," Ma exclaimed.
"Was I asleep?" Dad questioned.
"I don't think so," Ma answered.
"Can you two discuss my conception later and not around me?" I asked.
"Listen, Frack, Jr., I don't have time for your shenanigans. Do you want my help or not?" Dad questioned.
"Maybe I should call Uncle Kaiden," I suggested.
"That's blasphemy," Dad exclaimed.
"Do you understand what blasphemy means?" I asked.
That question earned a look from Dad.
"Look, order some food because we know you suck at cooking. Get flowers, chocolates, and a teddy bear," Dad told me.
"Why flowers, chocolates, and a teddy bear?" I asked.
"Flowers will make the house smell nice. Women love chocolates, especially when Aunt Flo visits," Dad said.
I cringed. Ew, gross, no guy wants to discuss a woman's monthly.
"The teddy bear is for when you screw up, and Jesse can beat you with it. It's soft so that it won't hurt much," Dad reasoned.
Dad has a point on that. I would prefer to get hit with a teddy bear than a fist.
"Now, go onward, Frack, Jr., and make me proud, but not a grandpa," Dad ordered.
I hung up the phone and shook my head. I went and bought everything, then returned home and set the stage. After I finished, I waited. I sat at the table, waiting on Jesse to show for our date. I checked my watch, and time passed as the food got cold.
I looked at my phone and sighed. I stood up and blew out the candles on the table, then started cleaning up. As I took food into the kitchen, I heard a knock at the door. I set the plates on the counter and answered the door to see Jesse standing there.
"Oh, hey, what's up?" I asked.
Jesse walked into the house as I closed the door behind her.
"Sorry that I'm late. I got a lecture from Dad. You know the whole don't have the sex talk," Jesse said, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, no biggie," I said, acting casual.
Jesse looked at the table and furrowed her brows.
"Kax," Jesse said.
I walked away and picked up the plates and forks on the table.
"Your gifts are on a chair," I said as I went into the kitchen. I put stuff away as Jesse picked up the items I bought. I walked out of the kitchen and moved things off the table.
