We went to Myrtle Beach for spring break and dragged Nora with us. Sam invited Leslie this time. Payton, Parker, Markus, Josie, Selena, and Hayden would be seniors next year. Everyone warned Mason to behave towards Nora. We didn't need drama on spring break.

We arrived at the beach house and got settled into our rooms, then hit the beach.

"How long has your family owned the beach house?" Britt asked as we walked along the beach.

"Granddad's family owned it before he married Grammy Gray. After they got married, Grammy brought the family here for vacation," I explained.

"I love reading your Grammy Gray and Grammy Pat's journals. It's refreshing to know they looked at life realistically," Britt told me.

"Even if Grammy Gray was bat shit crazy?" I asked with a look.

Britt smiled. "Even if she was bat shit crazy. I think it's sweet that your Grammy Gray endure people to her. It shows that people loved her," Britt reasoned.

"Hey!" Payton yelled to us. We walked over to him. "We found something," Payton mentioned.

We followed Payton to the house as everyone was in the living room. We walked over and sat down on the couch. Parker pressed play on the remote control.

"Nathaniel! Watch your brother! No, I didn't say drown him! Damn kids," Grammy grumbled.

Grandpa Grayson chuckled as Grammy walked towards Grampa Nate and Uncle Jonas.

"Cayson! What are you doing?" Granddad yelled at Uncle Cayson.

"I'm shoving Patty's head in the sand!" Cayson yelled.

"Danny!" Grammy Pat yelled as Uncle Danny helped her.

"Luci!" Granddad yelled.

"Ooh, you will get it, Nathaniel!" Grammy threatened Grampa as he stuck his tongue out at her. She walked over to Uncle Cayson. "Leave Patty alone, Cayson!" Grammy yelled.

"Why?" Cayson asked.

"Because she isn't a doll!" Grammy yelled as Cayson shrugged.

We laughed, watching the home movie when Grammy and Granddad lived in their old house. The video changed.

"Happy birthday, Nate," Grammy said, handing a bag to Grampa.

"Thanks, Patty," Grampa said, hugging Grammy.

"I know it's not much," Grammy mentioned.

Grampa pulled a toy car out of the bag.

"I know how much you love cars," Grammy said.

"It's perfect," Grampa whispered as Grammy smiled. Grampa hugged Grammy.

Britt and I smiled, knowing Grammy was fifteen at the time. You could see that Grampa liked her.

"Happy birthday, Patty," Grampa said as Grammy Pat turned around to see Grampa standing in front of her.

Grampa walked over to Grammy. "Remember when I said I wanted to wait until your eighteen to kiss you?" Grampa asked.

"Yeah," Grammy breathed.

Grampa leaned into Grammy, then said, "Just kidding."

Grammy's face contorted to horror, then a frown formed. She grabbed some cake and smashed into Grampa's face.
