Because You're Mine (COMPLETED)

Chapter Four: Scott

I wake to throbbing pain in my head. It's too bright in my room and it takes me a while to be able to fully open my eyes.

I don't remember anything after I was thrown down the stairs.

I remember the pain. The yelling. Praying to die. I remember my eye.

I bring my hand up carefully to my face and feel around there are stitches and i can barely open my eye.

I don't know where I am. I start squirming around trying to get free.

A woman comes in and puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Scott. Scott It's okay. You're safe."

"What do you mean I'm 'Safe'?"

"You dont know?" She looks at me with these sad eyes. "Scott hunny. Your dad was arrested two nights ago"

"Two? Wait how long have I been out?"

This cant be right. I have to fix this.

"Well its been two days since your accident so about two days. Do you remember anything?" She asks. I can tell that she knows exactly what happened or at least knows the jist of it.

I cant tell her.

"Scott...i need you to tell me what happened."

"Why?!" I ask defensively.

"So I know what to tell the cops and if what is being said was true."

I can't tell her the truth dad will kill me.

"I slipped. I was about halfway up the stairs when I lost my balance and fell. I twisted to catch myself but a glass shattered and I landed in it with my eye and I knocked myself out." I lie. "Nothing happened. I swear."

Her eyes told me she didn't believe me.

"Scott I can't help you if you don't tell me the truth. Cause what i say and what you say have two different levels of power."

I don't know why but this really upset me. My eyes turned red and I started using my authority I have over the now known beta.

"NOTHING HAPPENED OKAY? MY FOOT SLIPPED AND I FELL INTO A PILE OF GLASS AND KNOCKED MYSELF OUT. THATS IT! NOW PLEASE STOP ASKING ME!" I could feel tears in my eyes, but nothing can be done until I say something. I call myself down switching my eyes back to blue. "Where is he? My dad. Where is he?"

"Well he refused to leave until you woke up so he's in cuffs down the hall. Do you want to see him?"

"Yes please Ms......."

"Oh call me Esther please." She said with a warm smile.

"Well Esther, I'm sorry about yelling at you it-"

"Its okay I get it. My brother Avriel is an alpha and he's very protective. Don't worry about it please. I'll go get your father"

She walks out and I'm by myself for a bit.

I can't say anything. Act cool when dad comes in. We need to go home so questions stop being asked.

I lay my head back and think until i hear a knock on my door. The nurse, Esther, walks in along with my dad. I see the look in his eyes and immediately tense up.

I'm gonna regret that...

So this didn't end the way that I thought it would, But I like it. Scott will eventually leave his dad I am just making the most of it. Im going to go back to one of the others and continue with them but I am working on Scotts still. Anyway, thanks for the reads. I know its still not a lot but I really appreciate it.
