Chapter 163

Scott was getting dizzy. The guy doing his measurements was making him spin multiple times, because he was "trying to envision it".

Scott was ready to punch him.

He wasn't getting poked, so that was a plus, but this dude was pissing him off.

Addalin was being...okay. she wasn't screaming and throwing things, at least. She was just terrorizing Avi. She was standing and leaning against him, tugging on his beard and giggling.

"My patience." Avi hissed. "With your child." He took a deep breath. "Is wearing thin."

Scott chuckled. "I appreciate you, Avi."

Avi groaned as she yanked his hair again. "Could you not?" He asked her blatantly. "Like, it is causing me physical pain. I thought Alphas weren't supposed do that to other Alphas." He looked at her and flicked his eyes.

Addalin flicked hers and giggled.

"Let's not forget that she is the daughter of Mitch. And a female Alpha at that."

Avi and Addalin continued to stare at each other. Avi hadn't intended to this to be a challenge, but Addalin was making it one, and Avi found himself struggling.

He managed to keep his composure and Addalin looked away with a irritated sigh.

"Did I just see her almost dominate you?" Scott asked after witnessing the whole thing.

Avi looked at her. "Uh...yeah." Avi said, trying to get Addalin look at him again.

"Aren't you ranked at a 19?"

"Mhmm."

"Jeez."

"How do you think I feel?"

Scott just chuckled. He couldn't help but feel a little bit proud of his little girl.

"Stop looking so smug. She is still yanking on my hair. Ow! Addalin-Lila, enough!" He yelled.

Addalin just looked at him. She saw his eyes were red, but knew she didn't stand a chance, so she just plopped down with a huff and pouted.

"That seemed to work." Scott said with a nod.

"I told you. I've had it with her." Avi said.

Scott looked at Addalin and chuckled. "You seem to have killed her whole mood."

Avi sat back and crossed his arms. "Good. She'll stop being a pest."

Addalin whined and looked at the cushion between her legs.

"Awe, Av." Scott said. "Show her you still love her." He chuckled.

"Of course, I love her. She's just being a pain in my ass."

She whined again and sniffled. She didn't mean to upset him.

Avi looked at her and than at Scott.

"Well, go on." Scott said, nodding towards the pouty girl.

Avi sighed and opened his arms. "Come here child." He said, rolling his eyes.

Addalin sniffled again.

Avi sighed. "My god, get over here." He picked her up and set her in his lap. She gave a soft cry and snuggled into his chest.

"I towwy." She said.

Avi felt a little less irritated with the toddler now.

"Its okay, sweetheart. You are just fine." He kissed her little head and rubbed her little back. "You still wanna go to the park later?" He asked her.
