"Addalin-Lila!" Mitch yelled.
Addalin was picking the worst day to prove that she was just like him.
"Get you little ass over here, right now!"
She had been trying to start a fight with literally anyone that she could. Which just so happened to be the adults. Avi was the first to break. He's off in his room, trying to calm down.
But now, she was trying to fight with Zac, and the poor Beta was about in tears at her tone. He didn't even know what he did, but here she was, yelling at him again.
Addalin turned sharply at his tone and ran over.
Mitch squated down and put his hands on her little shoulders. "I love you, but you really need to stop. And I know you can understand me, so I'm gonna tell you that if you keep it up, you will be put in time out. So stop fighting everyone." He told her.
She hated the whole concept of a time out. She couldn't take the not being able to move around. She didn't like the idea of being punished. No Alpha does.
Addalin looked at him.
"Go find Daddy and do something. Okay?"
She nodded and ran off.
Mitch stood and rubbed his hands over his head and face, sighing as he did. It wasn't even ten o'clock yet and he had to deal with several mistakes regarding his wedding on top of Addalin. He really just wanted to crawl into his bed and cry, he was that stressed.
He turned back around and looked at the pile of invitations. The date was printed wrong and it took six weeks to get them. The wedding was in three. How he was gonna fix this, he didn't know.
He felt a pair of arms wrap around him. Scott.
"Addalin is supposed to be with you." Mitch said irritably.
"She never came to me."
Mitch inhaled. "I'm gonna kill her."
"She's two, babe, calm down."
Mitch chuckled. "Calm down? Nothing is getting done. Not correctly, at least." He gestured to the pile of invitations.
"What's wrong with them?" Scott asked, picking a couple up to look at. "They seem fine."
Mitch look at him with wide eyes. "Do you not remember the day we're getting married?!"
Scott looked. "Oh."
"Oh? It's right in front of your face, are you blind? Large font and in bold."
"Well, that was rude."
Mitch snorted. "Just...go away. Please."
"Is there nothing I can do to help?"
"No." Mitch said shortly.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Scott. You won't do it right and I'll end up fixing it anyway. I'll just do it myself." He put a hand to his forehead.
Scott pursed his lips and nodded. He knew that Mitch was just stressed, but that still kinda stung. "Okay. I will let you be." He said slowly and walked out.
Mitch sighed. He turned around and tripped on one of the boxes and fell to the ground. He busted out laughing.
Of course.
Scott heard the clatter and ran back into the kitchen to see Mitch, on the ground, laughing so hard he was crying.
"Baby?" He said, genuinely worried for Mitch's well-being.
Mitch was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe. Today really just wasn't his day, apparently.
"Okay, baby." Scott said, grabbing Mitch's hands and sat him up.
Mitch was able to take a large enough breath to compose himself and he spoke.
"Go away."
"Are you gonna be okay if I do."
"No, but its fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yep." He giggled.
"You're hyserical." Scott pointed out.
"I'm fine."
Scott sighed. He wasn't winning this and he knew it.
"Okay. Hollar if you need me."
"I doubt I will." He snickered, covering his mouth.
Scott chuckled and kissed his head before walking out.
Mitch giggled again before standing up and leaning against the counter.
He kicked the box and glared at it. "Fuck you."
