I get out of bed, wincing as I do. I get up and grab the clothes that Avi brought for me.

I'm getting out of here and finding my family. Once I'm dressed and have my shoes on I walk out to the desk. "I'd like to check out please." I say.

The woman looks at me like I'm crazy. "Sir, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Please? I have somewhere I need to be."

She sighs. "I cant force you to stay, but its against my better judgment to release you."

"Just give me the forms." I hold out my hand.

"Sir, I highly encourage you to stay."

"Yeah, yeah. Just give me the damn papers. I'm not gonna sue you or anything. I need to be somewhere important." I'm getting impatient.

She sighs. "Okay, fine." She looks and lands me the papers. "I'm obligated to inform you that your signing off and any more treatment and remind you that if anything happens with your wounds, the hospital cannot be held responsible."

I roll my eyes as I stop listening. She drones on and on. I grab a pen and sign where I'm supposed to. Then I smile and hand then back to her. "Thank you." I nod and walk off to find the pack. Half of them still asleep. Esther was released earlier so shes waiting with Rose, who is asleep in Leigh's arms. Esther is sleeping against her shoulder.

I clear my throat and Leigh looks at me. She gently puts Rose back in her car seat and walks over to me. "What are you doing? You're not supposed to be released until Thursday."

"I checked myself out. I'm fine. Alpha, remember? I heal pretty fast." I smirk.

"Not this fast! Scott, what if something happens?"

"Nothing will." I lift up my shirt and show her that my incision has already started healing. She just sighs and shakes her head.

"Why?" She eyed me.

"I want to find my family, that's why. My pathetic excuse of a parent has kidnapped both my fiance and my daughter. The longer I stay here, incapacitated, the more than could be happening to them."

She gnaws at her lips. "Fine." She says. "I'll wake up everyone. Kirstie and Avi are in the cafeteria. Avi wanted to get some food in her." She points down the hall.

I grab her shoulder. "Thank you." I smile.

"Whatever. I'm not happy with you." She shrugs me off and walks off.

I chuckle and find Kirstie and Avi being cute. He's feeding her little bits of food, both of them giggling when she takes if off the utensil.

I walk up and clap Avi on the shoulders. He jumps and glares at me when he turns around. "What are you doing?!" He whisper-yells.

"Um, breathing?"

"Smartass. I mean, why aren't you in your room?"

"I checked myself out." I shrug, the cringe as I forgot about my shoulder.

"Why would you do that?"

"Uh well A) I hate hospitals. B) I don't need to be here. And C) I want to find my family. Spare me the lecture. I already got it from the lady at the desk."

He groans and runs his fingers through his hair. "What is it with alphas being so goddamn hard headed?"

"You're one to talk." I smirk.

"That's exactly what I mean." He sighs and looks to Kirstie, who just shrugs and takes a bite of her food.

"Lets leave, shall we?" I say, ignoring the glare I get from Avi.
