Chapter Thirty-Five: Mitch

I need sleep. A lot of it. Since Kirstie's...incident. I haven't been able to get the sight out of my head. All that blood. Her small limp body...

I shiver. Its not cold but the image gives me chills. Its about one in the morning and everyone is asleep. Well, except for me. I sigh. I go to Kirstie's room and check on her. Shes cuddles up with Avi...again.

I go down to the kitchen to get some water and go to the bathroom. Since all the rooms are upstairs I use the bathroom downstairs so I don't wake anyone up. As I'm making my way up the stairs I stub my pinky toe.

"Fucking asshole. Motherfucking cocksucker!" I whisper yell. That hurt. Really bad. Plus my toes are cold so that made it hurt even more. Im really glad the alpha didn't hear me cuz I would've been in trouble.

I manage to make it up the stairs without stubbing anything else and go to scotts room. I don't want to be alone and my nightmares are gone when I'm next to him.

His door makes a slight sound as I close it and he stirs. I quickly get in his bed.

"Mishy...?" He says sleepily.

"Yeah, I had a bad dream."

"Oh okay." He says as he pulls me into him and wraps his arms around me.

I lay me head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat until i fall asleep.

I wake up to Scott missing. I hear the shower running though so I calm down. When he comes in he's in nothing but a towel. My stomach does a flip as a drop of water glides down his torso.

Focus Mitch.

"You know, Mitch. We been together for two weeks now. Its okay if you look at me."

"I know I just-we haven't talked to Avi really cause he's been so focused on Kit. Not that I don't get it. Im worried about her too. Its just hard to find the time to talk to him."

"I'll talk to him. I'm pretty sire that we are fine but I just want to be safe."

I nod. Scott asked me if we could do a 'trial' of what it would be like if Avi said it was fine. Its been going since a few days after everything happened with Kirstie. Shes been doing good. She seems as if she feels better. Her eyes are brighter. He smile is even better than it already was. She like a different person.

I don't know what changed but I'm really glad it did. She deserves more good things in her life.

I'm looking at scott and I notice the dark circles under his eyes.

"Scotty?"

"Yeah?" He drops his towel and puts on his underwear. I look away.

"Have you been sleeping?"

"Uhh yeah." He hesitated.

"Don't lie to me."

"I'm not." Yes, you are.

"Okay fine." I get up and walk out of the room.

"Mitch."

But I ignore him. I'm too grouchy to deal with him.

I suddenly smell something. It's thick and sweet. Female. Kirstie.

I turn around and see Scott. His eyes are red and he's breathing hard.

I forget my frustration with Scott and run to Kirstie's room. Avi is across the room with red eyes and heavy breath.

Kirstie's in heat. Just great. The poor girl cant get a break.

Baby. Bam! Mental breakdown. Bam! Hear have your heat! BAM!

I go over to her as Kevin runs up the stairs.
