Chapter 57: Scott

Y'all don't hate me, right? I'm surprised. I've thrown some pretty hard stuff at you.

Y'all are strong. I love y'all.

And also, I'm sorry...again.

I don't wake until I feel something hit me. When I open my eyes, I see Kirstie shaking worse than she has before.

Its like shes trying to get something or someone off of her. She starts flailing her arms and hitting anything nearby to keep her as safe as possible.

I know its a risk, but I do my best to gather her into my arms. After getting hit a few times, I manage to get my arms around her.

"Take a deep breath, Kit, please." I try. But for some reason, it does the opposite of what I wanted it to. She starts screaming again.

Her eyes are blue. I feel pain again, but I do my best to block it out.

She looks at me. Her eyes are full of fear. She doesn't see me. My guess is is that shes having another flashback. That's three in literally one day. I'm exhausted, she's exhausted. We both hurt I can tell you that much.

Then, suddenly, she goes limp. My first thought was that she was dead, but I check and see if shes still breathing.

Thank God. I lay her down, and run to Avi.

He sees the tears in my eyes and starts moving instantly. "Get Kevin." He says as he runs to Kirstie's room.

I don't even question him. I book it to Kevin's room and pound on the door. He opens it with a not so happy expression. "What's happening?" He asked, going into beta mode when he sees my face.

I swallow and take a breath. "I-I-I don't know what-what happened. One minute I'm sleeping, and the next thing I know, shes having like a seizure or something." I finish. He pushes past me and runs to Kirstie.

When I get there, shes on the floor. Kevin is checking everything: pulse, breathing, hearing, coherency, everything.

"Avi, dial 9-1-1 shes having a massive panic attack and if I'm right, shes passed out and there's nothing I can do. I don't have the supplies." Kevin explained.

"Scott, what do you feel?" Avi asked me.

"Why are you asking me?!" I shriek.

"Because, Alpha, you have a bond with her and based on the events of earlier, you can feel what she feels. So shut up and focus. What do you feel?" He eyes me.

"Uhh, pain. A lot of pain." I cringe as a strong wave hits me. I hold my stomach and almost fall to the floor. "Shes panicking, uhh, Jeremy. He-ahh!" I fall to my knees as the pain gets worse.

I see visions of Kirstie and Jeremy. A doctor type person, that I recognize as Esther. What?

"He what, Scott? What did he do?" Avi said. He was by my side now, holding me.

I feel the tears. "He-ah, he hurt her! He killed her baby! He ra-ah raped her! Ahh!!" I scream as the pain continues. I could feel him, then I felt the pain. My insides felt like they were being branded and stabbed and ripped. I almost pass out, until I feel Avi slap me.

I feel something happen, but the pain is still there.

"Scott." Kevin said. "Kirstie's out. What's still wrong?" He looked at Avi who dialed the number, finally.

"I-I don't know. It hurts!" I don't understand why I'm still in pain, but the images still play through my head, and I can feel everything that was done to her. Jeremy snacking her between the legs, him hitting her with a whip across the chest, glass cutting open her skin, him biting her so hard he draws blood.
