Chapter Fourty-One

The next morning, everyone felt better. Kirstie didn't feel sick, Scott wasn't sore, Avi wasn't stressed, and Mitch wasn't scared.

Breakfast, made by Mitch, was delicious. Everyone carried on as if nothing happened.

Avi looked at his pack. He decided to say something. "Guys?" He said, getting everyone's attention. "I just want to say I'm proud of everyone here. Taking in you three has been a struggle, but not one that we weren't prepared for. We knew it would be tough, but we pulled through, Kevin and I. Given the ups and downs we've had with each of you, its amazing to see how far you guys have come."

He turned to Scott. "Scott. You've become an amazing Alpha. You still have a lot to learn, and that's going to take time. But the progress you've made is phenomenal. When your training is complete, I have no doubt in my mind that you will be strong and powerful enough to lead your own pack. You have a certain side that a lot of leads forget about, and it's you emotional side. You care deeply about those close to you. You have a determination to do what ever it takes to protect the ones you love. I saw it yesterday, when you were trying to get back to Mitch. Its incredible. You're more in touch with your emotions, which in the long run will make you an incredible alpha."

He took a breath and looked at Mitch. "Mitch. You are one of the two best omegas I've ever had. You follow the, very few, rules we have, and you put just enough sass in without going overboard. Plus, you're adorable. You and Scott were destined to be mates. See, us wolves, we are all about connections. Scott and Kirstie have theirs, though we won't talk about that right now." He heard an audible sigh come from both. "And you and Scott... you can smell the love you have for each other. One of the best decisions I ever made was letting him be your alpha. But that doesn't mean you don't have to listen to me." He gave a small smile, signaling that was a joke.

He turned to Kirstie. "And Kirstie. Where do I begin? You're sweet, caring, compassionate, protective over what you care about, smart, and beautiful. You are amazing. Everything you've been through, and you turned out the way you did. You are so strong. You don't go through something like that and come out of it weak. No. You did exactly the opposite. And now that you've received the care that you deserve, you are blossoming into an amazing young woman. I couldn't be more proud of you." He finished.

He looked around, and everyone was crying. Even himself. Kirstie jumped up and wrapped her arms around him tightly. His heart swelled. She smelled like roses. He loved roses. She didn't let go, and he didn't make her. He couldn't help but notice how perfectly her body fit into his.

She eventually pulled away, with tears on her cheeks and a smile on her face. "Thank you, Avi." She said. "No one has ever said something like that to me. Thank you so much." She sobbed and wrapped her self back around him.

She now knew she could trust him. To the fullest extent of the word. Something in his tone as he said what he said, made her switch flip. She belonged here. She trusted the man that had his arms gently around her.

She cried quietly into his chest, but didn't let go and he didn't make an effort to get away. Soon, she felt more arms and bodies press around her as everyone got up and joined the hug.

They stayed like that for a few more minutes until Kevin spoke up. "Breakfast is getting cold you guys."

Everyone laughed.

Avi looked around. Everyone sat a little closer, and looked at each other with a different light in their eye, and a bigger, brighter smile.

He really did love his pack.
