As I'm holding the baby, still trying to feed her, I hear the door open. I turn and see Scott, and a shorter boy, with dark hair that is swept to the side, and dark brown eyes.

The baby in my arms stops eating and shrieks, reaching for the boy.

"Alpha, if I may, can I hold her?" The boy asks me. His voice is very high for someone who should be male.

"I've got it." I reply, shifting the child in my arms.

He turns to Scott, then looks back at me with a smile. "Okay." Then he turns to my son. "Alpha, may I go upstairs?"

I turn and see Avi nod, and the boy runs up the stairs. Scott quickly following.

I turn to Avi. "Is that the mother?"

He nods. "Yes. I beg you, please be nice to him. He's been through a lot. He was rescued only two weeks ago from his kidnapper."

"I'm still trying to figure out why you have not one, but two, homosexuals in your pack."

"Dad, they're sexuality has nothing to with why they're in my pack. They were homeless and starving and had no where else to go. I had the room, so I took them in."

"Are you disciplining the boy the way you should be?"

"Mitch is one of the best omegas I know. He never does anything to warrant a punishment, and he does everything he's told to do without any hesitation. He's a very good omega."

"Either way, you know I disapprove of it."

"Yes, father, I know. You've been riding my ass about it since high school. I still don't understand what your issue with it is."

"My issue, is that it is unnatural. Not to mention, disgusting. What you pulled in high school..."

"I thought I was in love, okay? Kevin is my best friend, but thanks to you, it didn't work out. But besides that, you didn't need to send me to therapy for it! It's not a disease."

"We are seriously having this conversation again? Avriel-"

"Avi."

"Avriel, it's just not normal. Man wasn't intended to lay with another man."

"I'm not doing this with you right now." He put his hand to his head.

"Go get me something to wipe her face off."

He groans and nods, walking off into the kitchen. I look to the child in my arms and shes glaring at me.

She shrieks and swats the bottle out of my hands. I growl and swat her face. Not too hard, considering shes a baby, but hard enough so she learns.

Damn children.

"Dad!" I hear Avi yell as I sit her down onto the couch as she screams. "What did you do?! I've already told you once that you cannot discipline her like that. Or at all for that matter. Shes not your child." He goes over and wipes off her face.

I see Scott and and the boy running down the stairs, and Scott has a hold on the smaller boy and looks to Avi. "What happened?" He said angrily.

"My father. I don't know what she did, but I heard something hit the floor and I think he...slapped her." Avi explained quietly.

"What?!" The small boy yells.

I start to walk over to the baby, but I'm stopped when he appears in front of me with red eyes.

"I don't care who you think you are. This is my baby. You do not lay a finger on her in an aggressive way, or I swear to god, I'll do something." Mitch tells me.

I see red eyes and I actually do not know what to do. Never in my life has someone, especially an omega, talk to me like that.

I watch as he turns around and picks up the baby and walks to the kitchen.

"Why would you hit my daughter like that?" Scott yelled, his eyes red.

"Do you not discipline her?" I narrow my eyes at him.

"Shes a baby. A little baby. She doesn't need to be disciplined. Especially like that." He growls.

I ignore him after that and turn to my son. "You said he was an omega."

"He is."

"Then why was he looking at me with red eyes? Looked to me that he was an alpha. And you? You look like you were crying. Leads don't cry. What is wrong with you?"

"There are a lot of things that happen around here that I doubt you give a shit about."

"You watch your language."

"I'm 25, dad! I can say whatever I please, especially in my own house. The fact of the matter is, that you just struck a child that is less than a year old. A child that's not yours. Both Mitch and Addalin just went through something traumatic, and you want to remind them of that?"

"Its not like Addalin knows."

"Yes She does! She is such an intelligent baby. She is brilliant. I've seen her already standing in her crib. She knows how to communicate and everything. So yes, she does know what going on."

I just stand there. "Fine, I won't do it again." Is all I say.

But that baby is definitely intriguing.
