Chapter 39: 3rd person POV

Sorry, not the chapter y'all thought. Hell, even I wasn't expecting it. But I think it turned out pretty good.

Avi called his sister and asked if she could come over. He didn't know how the trio would respond to the test so he decided it might be better to have an extra set of hands just in case they were needed.

He looked over at the trio that was still in awe over the cat. Mitch was beyond happy.

He'll admit that at first he was weary of having a cat, but scott explained that it would be worth it.

The inspector was coming at 2:00, which meant that the pack had less time to present themselves then they wanted. The only thing Avi's worried about for Mitch is his confidence test. This kid has a lot of insecurities.

Kirstie's was gonna be difficult all around. She didn't have a lot of confidence in herself, she follows the rules very well and does her chores how she supposed to so shes good on that front, but the punishment portion is going to be tough. She still has some bruises, which will need to be explained.

Scott keeps picking at his face which isn't allowing the small cuts on his face to heal. These things are all going to be hard. Avi just hopes that no one will go into a panic attack.

He went to go and get a snack from the fridge when he heard a knock at the door. He rushed over to open it.

"Hey little brother!" Esther squealed as she wrapped her arms around the alpha. He loved his sister, but not so much the physical contact. Especially hers. She gave tight hugs.

"Es? That hurts." Avi said. The beta released then, but gave her brother a kiss on the cheek.

"So, where's the trio?" She knew Kirstie, but he wasn't sure if she knew Scott and Mitch.

"In the kitchen. We got Mitch a cat for his birthday. None of them have gotten over it." He leaned in close. "Personally, I don't really like the cat. But Scott wanted to get Mitch something he always wanted. So I gave in."

Esther laughed. "Yep. Always were a softie. Don't let dad see that. He'll skin you alive."

"Yeah that man has some issues. But anyway." She guided his sister to the kitchen where the rest of the pack was. "You guys know my sister, Esther."

Kirstie poked her head up. She got up and ran over to the beta who had taken care of her, during both miscarriages. She liked Esther. She gave her a tight squeeze before going back to the boys and Wyatt.

Esther looked over at them. The blond looked familiar. He was at the hospital with Kirstie that last time she was there, but she had a feeling she knew him from somewhere else.

She didn't know the other boy though. He was small. A little bigger than Kirstie, but not by much.

"Mitchy?" Avi said. "Do you wanna say hi?"

Mitch turned his attention away from the car and looked at Esther. His eyes widened when he saw the beta's face. "Oh my god! You're so pretty!" He blurted out, but then quickly diverted attention the kitten. His face went beet red.

Everyone laughed, Mitch included. "Well, thank you." Esther blushed. She held out her hand for him. "I'm Esther." She gave him a beautiful smile.

"I'm Mitch." He shook her hand gently. "And this is my baby, Wyatt."

He looked at the cat with so much love, Esther's heart warmed a little. Not that it was cold it anything.

Scott looked at her and immediately recognized het again. He'd hoped she didn't recognize him. He didn't want to, but he needed to introduce himself. He put on a smile and reached out his hand. "I'm Scott."
