I don't know how I feel. What I heard Hunter say...it hurts. It hurts me to know that Mitch was holding all of that in. What scares me is that Avi can't feel any of it. That's how far gone Mitch is.

But I'm gonna get him back.

I sit up and turn so I'm sitting on the edge of my bed. Hunter was sleeping downstairs still, so I won't bother him just yet.

I get interrupted from my thought when i hear a knock on the door. I wipe my face once I realize I was crying and say that they can come in.

It was Kirstie.

Of course, the one person I can't lie to about how I'm feeling.

"Hey." She says with a smile. She shuts the door and comes to sit next to me. She gives me a smile. "Avi and I are about to find out the genders. You wanna come?"

"Uh, you sure? That's something you two should do on your own." I look at her.

"I've already asked Avi. He said it was alright. So please? I want to try and cheer you up a bit. With everything you're feeling, maybe this'll help." She places a hand on my shoulder.

"I don't know Kirst."

She sticks out her bottom lip and gives me puppy dog eyes. "Pwease?"

Christ Almighty. Those eyes get me everytime. "Fine, but only because your adorable." I smile.

"Yay!" She jumps up and grabs my hand and pulls me downstairs.

We go into Kevin's office and into the area he has set up. Both kevin and Avi are waiting.

"Lemme guess." Avi chuckles. "She gave you The Eyes didn't she?"

"Yes, she did." I laugh and she snuggles into my side.

"I get what I want." She said innocently.

"You most certainly do, Kitten." Avi smiles. "Now let's get this going. I wanna know!"

Kirstie laughs as she lets go of me and hops up onto the table and leaned back, lifing her shirt.

Her belly is round and the skin is tight. I know shes uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. I don't only know this because Mitch was the exact same way, but I can feel it in my body. One of the babies will kick her ribs and I'll feel it. It jerks me out of my sleep sometimes, but oh well. The only thing I'm not excited for is when she goes into labor.

That's going to suck.

She only has, like, two months left? I shiver at the thought.

"You good?" Avi asked, noticing my shiver.

"Yeah. Just worried about the whole labor process." I smile shyly.

"Why?" He looks confused. Then he looks at Kevin. "What did you tell him?"

"He asked. I only answered his question." Kevin held up his hands.

"He said that I would most likely feel when shes in labor. Im just not excited for that." I explain.

Kirstie grabs my hand. "Trust me. I'm right there with you." She laughs. "Now! Lets get going, my belly's getting cold."

We all laugh as Kevin puts the gel on and places the wand, moving it around.

"Well, everything looks healthy and normal. They're a little small, but that's common. I'll keep an eye on them to make sure everything runs smoothly. But here you go." He points to the screen. "Baby A and Baby B."

I look at both Kirstie and Avi. Both of them have huge smiles and Avi is crying, but only a little more that Kirstie. They both look so happy.

"Gender time." Kevin chuckled. "A or B first?" He asks.

"You pick." Avi says after looking to Kirstie, who nods.

"Um, okay. Baby B is..." He points again to the screen. "...a boy. He's the one on the left. Baby A, the one on the right...is a girl." He smiles at the couple and shuts down the machine and wiped Kirstie's stomach off.

"Well," Avi started. "That would explain why Addalin is so drawn to the side."

"Huh?" I say.

"When ever Addalin is around Kirstie, shes always snuggling up to the right side of her stomach. I'm convinced she knew it was a girl. Also, I think your daughter has a thing against boys."

I shrug. "Couldn't tell you why. Both of her parents like boys." I joke.

"Maybe she is just super protective." Avi shrugs. "Or she gets attached easily. She is an alpha after all."

"I have no idea, but with Rose and your baby, shes gonna have a little squad."

"She most certainly is. Those three are gonna be so much fun." He chuckles

"Ten bucks says your daughter is an Alpha." I hold out my hand for him to shake.

He was about to shake my hand when Kirstie stopped him. "You will not be making a bet on what rank my daughter is."

"Oh, come on. Please? Its just a little friendly competition." Avi whines.

Kirstie seemed to battle with herself. "Fine." She says, looking grumpy, but I can see the humour in her eyes.

"Deal." Avi says as he shakes my hand. "I give you ten bucks if she is an alpha, if shes not an alpha, then you give me ten bucks."

"That sorts self explanatory there, Av."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm hungry. Let's go get food. I don't feel like cooking."

"I'll go wake the pack." I say and I make my way around the house, waking up everyone. It only now just hit me how early that had the ultrasound done. Weird.

I get everyone upstairs awake and come back down to wake Hunter. "Baby." I say, shaking his shoulder. "Baby, wake up. Come on." He stirs and stretches before falling back to sleep. I chuckle and grab his hands and pull him to a sitting position. He whines and pouts.

"I wanna sweep." He says, sounding like a child.

"I know sweetheart, but we gotta get some food in you. You don't even have to change. Ill take you too the car."

Everyone was already out there anyway. He nods and raises his arms so I can pick him up and he wraps himself around me. Moments later I feel his body relax as he falls asleep again against my shoulder. I ask Kirstie to swap places so she could sit in the front and I could sit in the back with Mitch and Addalin.

I cradle Mitch and kiss his head
