Because You're Mine (COMPLETED)

Chapter 164

Kevin laid the next to his fiance. She was sleeping so he wasn't talking, he was just looking.

Zac was in between them, playing with his feet.

Scott and Avi got back about an hour ago, and kevin has been praying that Addalin was being less of a monster than she was earlier. So far, she was quiet.

Until Kevin heard a tiny knock on the door. He knew exactly who it was.

He got up and went to open the door, and squated down once he saw the little girl.

"What's wrong?" He asked softly after seeing how upset she looked.

"Tac." She said, pointing to his son.

She felt bad for being so...mean.

"Awe, sweetheart. Come here." He opened his arms and she ran into them, sniffling.

Kevin picked her up and walked her over to the bed after shutting the door. "Leigh's sleeping so you have to be quiet okay?" He told the little girl.

She nodded with a small smile as Kevin set her down. She quickly went over and sat next to Zac and wrapped her little arms around him and hugged him. Kevin watched as Zac returned the hug.

He quickly pulled out his phone and took a picture, then sent it to Scott.

Zac and Addalin just stayed there. They didn't move, they didn't make any sound. After a while, kevin thought they had fallen asleep like that, but when he looked he saw that both of them were just sitting there peacefully.

Eventually Addalin moved, but it was only to kiss Zac's cheek, then she went back to her original position.

A few minutes later, there was another knock on the door. He got up and opened it to see Mitch.

"She's doing it again, isn't she?" He asked, he looked tired.

Kevin nodded, but put up a finger to his lips to tell Mitch to be quiet and showed him the two children hugging.

Leigh stirred at the sound of Mitchs voice and opened her eyes to see Zac and Addalin hugging in front of her. She was very confused. She propped herself up on her elbow and looked at them with a furrowed brow.

She rubbed her face. "Uh...what's happening?" She asked, using her other hand to point at the kids.

Kevin smiled. "I think shes apologizing. Or she just really wanted to hold him. I dont really know. She looked so sad when I opened the door. I put her on the bed and she latched onto him. They've been doing that for almost five minutes."

Mitchs face was unreadable. He didn't look upset, but honestly, with Mitch, unless you were Scott, he was hard to read sometimes.

Leigh dropped her head amd smiled at the babies. "Zac is passed out, y'all." She said, looking at her son's sleeping face.

"Awwweee." Kevin said.

Mitch just looked at his daughter. "Is she sleeping too?" He asked, tilting his head to see her face.

Leigh leaned and looked before nodding with a huge smile.

"Why do I feel like one of them would throw a fit if we tried to move them?" Mitch asked.

"I was thinking the same thing." Leigh said. "Ten to one it would be Addalin."

Mitch chuckled. "Yeah, probably. I mean, if they're comfortable, leave them. They seem fine for now." He shrugged.

Kevin and leigh both nodded. "Should we at least lay them back?" Leigh asked.

"No." Mitch said quickly. Kevin looked at him. "I just mean, they're fine how they are now, why disturb them?" He said. He just knew that Zac and Addalin were mates. Of course, no one would listen to him and they all thought he was kidding!

Kevin chuckled. "Uhuh." He said.

Mitch shot him a look. "Well, I'm gonna go, Scott's pouty because I'm not there to cuddle with him."

"Awe." Leigh said.

Mitch chuckled, looked at Addalin and Zac, shook his head and walked out.

Kevin looked at Leigh. "What was that all about?"

Leigh chuckled. "He's convinced that they're mates."

Kevin laughed. "Zac isn't even two yet."

Leigh shrugged.

"Mitch is over reacting. They're just babies. Addalin is a very emotional little girl, and I really think she just wanted to apologize."

Leigh smiled. "Honey, they literally have fallen asleep holding each other." She gestured to the kids, who were passed out on each others shoulders.

"They're tired. Addalins been out all day and Zac skipped his nap." He reasoned.

Leigh rolled her eyes and laid back down. "I love you, but for a genius, you're just a little bit clueless."

"Ouch."

She laughed. "You're my favorite. I love you."

Kevin smiled and sat back down on the bed, adjusting the kids so they were on their sides, still holding each other.

"Mitch will never know." He said.

They watched as Zac curled into Addalins side and laid his little arm across her front.

"That was adorable." He said.

"Mates." Leigh smiled

Kevin just rolled his eyes.
