Chapter 92: Kirstie

"Kirstie, can you get the baby for me?" I hear Avi call from downstairs, waking me up.

I groan. It wasn't even 7 yet. Why was I being called? "Yeah, sure." I reply. I throw off my blankets and put on a shirt over my sports bra that I sleep in. I've gotten to the point that I dislike walking around in pants this early in the morning, so I just wear underwear with one of Avi's big shirts that goes just below my butt.

I smile, satisfied with how I look. Honestly, I'm loving this new confidence that I have.

I leave my room and go to Scott's to get the baby that had started fussing. Scott is here, but he's not awake. Huh? And wheres Mitch?

I grab the baby and bounce her. She babbles a little bit and smacks my chest, making me laugh. I bound down the stairs causing her to giggle. I make it to the kitchen and set the baby in her bouncer then go and wrap my arms around his waist from behind and rest my head on his back. "Morning." I say quietly. I'm so tired.

"Good morning beautiful. How'd you sleep?" He asked, flipping a pancake.

"Good. But, why am I up so early? I mean, I don't mind, I love Addalin, but why not Scott? And where's Mitch?" I kiss his shoulder before he turns around.

"Its a long story. Let Scott sleep, he was up late with Mitch. I'll explain while we eat, okay?" He tucks my hair behind my ears and kissed me. "I love you."

"I love you, Alpha." I smile.

"Also, I love your hair. Don't think I've ever said that, but it frames your face perfectly." He smiles.

"I was actually thinking of dying it, if that's alright?" I ask.

"Ooh, what color?" He tugged a strand playfully.

"Just black. I wanted some sort of change." I chuckle.

He kissed my forehead. "Of course its okay. I think you'll look drop dead gorgeous with black hair." He said, making me blush. He snickered. "You're precious." He pulls me in for a hug.

"Thank you." I say to his chest. I can hear his heartbeat and I just wanna stay here and listen to it.

He kisses the top of my head. "You're welcome, Kit-Kat." He lets me go and i go sit at the table. I snap a couple pictures of him on my phone and smile at them.

A few minutes later he sits down with a plate fir both of us and we start eating.

"Avi, this is amazing." I say, shoving another forkful in my mouth.

He chuckles. "Thank you, sweetheart." He smiles before taking another bite. "So, I know you're a bit confused about everything, so I'll explain. Last night Mitch had a breakdown. Like, a really bad one. He downed two full bottles of alcohol, and slit his wrist. Scott came and got me and we took him to Kevin, who sedated him so he could get some sleep because he hadn't been sleeping very well. So, Scott, Mitch, and Kevin are all asleep because we had a pretty long night. And we're going to help Scott with the baby until Mitch can get back on his feet." He gives me a smile.

Now that I've been told, I can see how tired Avi is. "How long have you been awake?" I ask.

"A few hours. I'm okay though."

Are you sure?" I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm positive." He grabs my hand.

"So you're pregnant?" I joke.

"Oh jeez. No. With Addalin and then Kevin's baby-"

"What?" I interrupt. "Kevin has a baby?"

He look like he just said something he wasn't supposed to. Then he cringed. "That's another thing, for another time." He says. And he's right. One thing at a time.

"So, is Mitch still sleeping?" I ask, cutting up a piece of my pancake and eating it.

"Yeah, He's gonna be out for a while, which will hopefully help him. He needs it. He's up in his old room, if you wanna see him." He tells me.

I nod and take another bite.

We sit in silence until he asks me a question. "When is your next heat supposed to be?"

I choke on my food. "I'm sorry, what?"

"You're heat. I'm only asking because I'm your alpha now, and I want to know if you want to help you or not." He looks shyly at me.

I cough. "Um, a few weeks, I think." I wipe my mouth.

"I won't do anything unless you tell me to, I was just wondering if you would want help. If not that's okay to." He blushes.

"Have you never helped an omega before?" I ask perplexed. Surely he's helped someone before.

He just shakes his head. "I have slept with someone, but it was meaningless and pointless and I didn't like it. So I've been waiting for who I felt was the right person. This isn't meant to rush you or anything, and you shouldn't be feel obligated to do something your not ready for." He interjected quickly. "I just want to let you know, that if you do want help...let me know." He takes a bit of food.

What the hell do I say to that?

"Uh, can I think about it?" I ask timidly.

"Yes, of course. I wasn't expecting answer right away anyway." He chuckles.

We finish our food and Avi puts the dishes in the sink. "Can I go see Mitch?" I ask.

"Yeah." He nods. "Just be careful and try not to wake him. I have no idea how strong a sedative Kevin gave him. And be careful of his right wrist." He says sadly.

I give a sad nod, give Avi a kiss, and walk upstairs, rubbing the scars on my own wrist and sighing.

I eventually get to Mitch and see him curled up under the blanket, sleeping. I sit down on the side of the bed and look at his wrist where I can see blood seeping through. "Oh, Mitchy..." I whisper as I move a piece of hair our of his face. I lean and kiss his cheek before getting up and leaving to cuddle on the couch with Avi.

I cant help the few tears that escape onto my face. "Awe, come here, love." He opens his arms and I quickly snuggle into them and softly cry as he rubs my back.

I know exactly what Mitch was thinking when he did that to himself. He was tired of everything.

I know that feeling. I sniffle as Avi gives me a squeeze. "Wanna go get your hair done?" He whispers.

I nod again and ask if he can carry me to my room so I can get dressed.

Ten minutes later, we were in the car.

I'm sorry if this chapter sucked. I had no ideas after Avi explained everything.
