Chapter 153: Mitch

I wake up with a jolt.

I shoot straight up and look around frantically, reminding myself where I am. 

I look over and see Jordan cuddled up with Scott. Addalin was sleeping on my chest

Me jolting must have woken her up because she opened her eyes and snuggled into me.

I slowly get out of bed and pick her up. Then we head downstairs.

Its early, so I don't expect any one to be awake.

I stop when I see Kirstie in the kitchen holding Christopher.

"Hey." I say as I walk up and sit down, Addalin curling up on my lap.

"Hey." She smiles.

"What's going on?" I ask. She is never up this early.

"Christopher won't sleep. Logan and Avi are passed out, cuddling with each other."

"So are Scott and Jordan." I chuckle.

"Jordans a daddy's boy." She chuckles.

"I mean, it works. Addalins a momma's girl."

"Good point. Anyway, what's up? You don't normally walk around at night." She pointed out, holding Christopher on her chest and rubbing his back.

I purse my lips. "I had a nightmare."

"I'm not stupid, I know that." She smiled. Then she gave a more sympathetic face. "What was it about?"

I look down at Addalin and stroke her cheek. "I did something. When Rick had us."

Kirstie looked at me. "Sweetie, this was months ago. You're still having nightmares about it?"

I nod and sniffle. "I haven't talked about it. Not this specific thing. But now its getting to the point that I can't sleep."

"Mitchy, what is it?"

"Its Rick." He looked up and nodded, tears in his eyes. "I uh, I...killed...him." He said slowly.

Kirstie looked with wide eyes. She set Christopher down in his bouncer, its not like he was asleep anyway. She went over and got on her knees and gave both Addalin and I a big hug.

"Oh, Mitchy." She said softly.

"Scott doesn't know. No one does. Except you, anyway." I pause and she pulls back and sits back in her chair. "I was fine until it started coming back up. Now I dream about it almost nightly and then I look at Scott who is sleeping peacefully with his two beautiful children in his arms, and it kills me, knowing what I've done and I can't even tell my mate about it because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't talk to me after that." I rant

Then I look at her. "I'm sorry." He said, bringing Addalin to a sitting position and wrapped his arms around her.

"Don't be. Mitchy, you did what you had to."

"But Scott... Its his father..."

"You don't understand how much he loathes his father, yet? He's made it quite clear. He lost any and all respect for his father once you and Addalin were taken from him. You probably did him a favor."

"When I tell him...will you come with me? I don't think I can do that alone." I sniffle, nuzzling my head into Addalins shoulder.

She smiled at me and rubbed my shoulder. "Of course I can." She kissed my cheek and gave me a hug. "I love you, Mitchy."

"I love you too, Snuggle Bug." I smiled.

Kirstie and I went to bed maybe an hour later.

I laid down next to Scott and watched as Addalin snuggled into jordan and fell asleep holding her little brother. I smile and kiss her head.

"You okay?" Scott asked.

"Did I wake you?" I ask quietly.

"Kinda, but that's alright." He smiles sleepily. "Are you okay?" He repeated.

I smile and nod. "I'll be okay." Ill tell him later, better to not have him worry right now.

He eyed me, but dropped it anyway. He knows me to well.

"I'm so proud of you." He blurted.

"Why?" I ask, probably harsher than I should've.

"Well, when we first met, you were small and weren't very confident in really anything you did. But here we are, little over two years later. We have two beautiful children, and we're getting married next year." He sighed. "I can't wait."

"While we're on the topic, I was thinking i should where a blue tux."

"Why blue?"

"Blue is your favorite color, and is the color of your eyes, and is the color of my rank."

"Oh." Scott chuckled. "Your absolutely perfect, you know that?"

"You might've told me once or twice." I smile.

I hook one of my legs around him so that I can be touching him, since our children are occupying my cuddle space on Scott's chest.

"Stop it. They're just as clingy as you." He chuckled at the look on my face

"They also love they daddy as much as I do." I smile. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"For giving me two beautiful children."

"Well, of course they're beautiful. They look like you."

"Hush." I giggle.

"Anyway. Thank you for giving me two beautiful children."

"That was awful." I smirk.

He shrugged. "My point still stands. I love the family you have given me. I love you." He gently leaned over the sleeping babies. I met him in the middle and we shared a kiss.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me." Scott sighed.

"You might have also said that a few times." I joke.

"It just can't keep secrets from you. I tell you how I feel, when I feel it."

Oh. Fantastic.

"Its a good thing I don't keep anything from you, either." Except the fact that I killed your father.

He smiled and grabbed my hand, bringing it to his lips to kiss it.

"Go back to sleep, my Omega" He says, stroking my cheekbone.

I smile and get comfy with Addalin pressed against my chest. "Good night, Alpha."
