Chapter Thirty: Avi

Two months. Two months its taken to get Kirstie to be comfortable around me. Mitch and Scott still haven't figured out the mind-link mate thing, although I'm pretty sure Mitch hasn't said anything about it because of him possibly getting rejected. But they're mates, and the way that Scott looks at Mitch tells me that they feel the same way about each other.

The whole baby situation really took a toll of Kirstie. She wasn't even supposed to be able to have a child and then when she did she lost it. Cruel joke from the universe if you ask me. Oh here have a child, oh wait no nevermind. Yes shes young but...jeez.

And then there's her heat. Her body has gotten back to semi-normal so I've been expecting her heat anytime soon.

Scott and myself have to prepare. We may be alphas and she may be in my pack but neither shes not either of our omega.

I need to talk to Scott. Since she was pregnant around the time she was supposed to have her heat.

"Hey Scott?" I call.

"Yeah?" He answers.

"Can you come up here please?" A few seconds later he comes into my room.

"Yes alpha?" He's slightly out of breath.

"You know Scott. You can take a moment. I'm not going to get mad."

"Oh yeah . I knew that. I just didn't want to get punished for taking so long, alpha."

"Oh. Huh. Okay. I think its time we talk about that."

Scott raises his eyebrow.

"Pack meeting. After breakfast." I say. I hear a whimper from downstairs and I smell panic. Kirstie.

I run downstairs and see her crying in Mitch's arms.

"Are you sending us away?" She asks.

"Oh baby no. I wouldn't do that. You three are staying. I just think its time to go over some pack rules. You've been here long enough to adjust, given the circumstances, and now its just time to go over pack rules. I promise. Nothings going to happen to you guys." I smile and she lightens up a little bit. Well, she stops sobbing.

"So since were all here do we want to talk now or do we want to wait after breakfast?"

"Alpha." Scott said. "If I may...it might be a little hard to eat while waiting so we should probably just do it now."

I nod. "Okay. We can do it now. I'm fine with whatever." Kirstie is frightened I can tell.

"Okay. Since you three have been here long enough, kevin and I have been discussing pack rules. Since its only been the two of us we haven't really needed them because we didn't have Omegas." I pause to see if they've followed. The all nodded. Kevin, just waking up, trotted downstairs and sat down. He knows what's up.

"1.) You only address a fellow pack member with their rank if you are told to. For example, in a professional setting or is we have guests over. You don't have to call us 'alpha' or 'beta'. We hate that. I don't like using ranks unless your in trouble or as a warning as Mitch and Kirstie have already experienced.
