Because You're Mine (COMPLETED)

Chapter Thirty-Six: Kevin

Finally. A break.

As I lay down in my bed, I smell something.

My eyes quickly fly open and turn yellow. My beta instincts are kicking in.

It's sweet. Like...no.

Kirstie's in heat. Great.

I book it out of my room and bolt up the stairs taking to at a time. I arrive to Mitch holding a hand out and slowly walking to her. I don't quite hear what is being said until I see Mitch jump and fly practically across the room.

"Kirstie. I can't." He says. She must have been trying to get him to help her.

See the thing about heat is, It's terrible. I've never had one, nor will I, but I've seen it is action.

The omega in heat will be in immense pain until either they are helped out if it or they got through it. Most get help.

Heat is the perfect time for our kind to reproduce. If levels are high enough it's almost always a for sure pregnancy.

Kirstie whimpers and scott growl.

"Kevin get him out of here." Avi says. I grab Scott's arms but he shakes me off.

"Let go. I'm fine."

"Scott." Avi says. "If you can't contain yourself and make you alpha back off you need to leave the room."

"I said I'm fine."

"You better be. One more time and will escort you out of this room myself and you don't want me to that right now."

Avi is doing his best to calm Kirstie down, but its not doing much. She whimpers again.

Scott is slowly moving towards her.

"You better back up alpha." Avi was Scott. With a growl, Scott quickly leaves the room and heads downstairs.

"Kevin follow him." I do.

I get downstairs and I see Scott pacing back and forth.

"Scott?" I ask. I know to be careful around alphas when they are like this. Being around an omega that's in heat is difficult enough. When its an omega you cant have. Its near impossible.

"I need a distraction or something, Kevin! My alpha is going crazy. I can't calm him down. He's threatening to take over."

Scott looks scared. His eyes are bright red.

"You're gonna be okay, Scott."

"Kevin it hurts. I feel like my alpha is tearing me apart from the inside trying to get to her. She's right upstairs!"

I was wrong. He's not scared. He's terrified.

"Where's your mate? That should help."

"He's upstairs..." He trails off and starts pacing again. After a few minutes I see Mitch come down stairs.

"You know scotty-" scott cuts him off my moving towards him very quickly. When Scott stops they are only inches away. Mitch doesn't look scared though. He knows Scott would never hurt him.

Then, scott is cupping Mitch's face and kissing him. I see Mitch basically cone apart.

The Scott pulls away.

"S-sorry. I needed...something to...distract me."

"Well maybe this will help." Mitch says. "I talked to Avi."

"What? Now?" Scott replies. I'm just as confused.

"I know, convenient right? 'Your friend is in pain but im gonna talk to you about this anyway' oh I can't. Anyway, guess what?"

"What?"

"He said you can be my mate." Tears spring into Mitch's eyes.

"Seriously?" Scott asked. His eyes are no longer red anymore.

"Seriously."

"Thus is great Mitchy!" And with that scott kisses him again.

Yes! "SCOMICHE IS REAL!!!!" I yell. We all start laughing.

After a few minutes we settle down.

"Wait." Mitch says. He looks confused. "What's Scomiche?"

"Oh that's y'alls ship name. I came up with it. You like it?" I smile as I lean back against the wall.

"Actually yes. I love it." Mitch gives me a big smile.

Scott nods in agreement, looking adoringly at his now official mate.

Mitch sees this and blushes.

"What?" He says.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking about how such a beautiful person as yourself is my mate and how freaking lucky I am. You're amazing mitch."

Mitch's face goes from just blushing to full face lobster red.

He starts crying. "Thank you Scotty! No ones ever said that too me before." He scoots over to Scott and curls up into him.

"Well I'm certainly going to make up for that the best that I can. Because you deserve it. I love you Mitch."

I hear Mitch gasp and his eyes widen. More tears spill over onto his cheeks.

"Do you mean that? Like really truly mean that?"

"Mitchy, if I didn't, I wouldn't even bother saying it. You are so amazing. You are beautiful and sweet and kind and caring and just...amazing. I couldn't ask for a better, more perfect, person to be my mate. So, I mean it when I say that I love you, so much Mitchell. You bright up my day every morning. Just you smile alone. I love everything about you. Even the things you hate. Those things I especially love. I love the way your eyes look when you are doing something you love, or the way your face lights up when you see something you think is beautiful. I love everything about you Mitch. And that is never going to change."

Mitch is bawling. Heck so am I. This is so cute.

Scott really outdid himself this time. Since Mitch can't really speak at this moment, he just gets up and kisses Scott.

Mitch just sits there for a minute and looks at his mate.

Finally, he says it.

"I-I...I love you too, Scotty."
