Why the Council forced them to come to this meeting is a mystery to Avi.

Oh, and lets not forget the fact that it is an hour away from the house.

Everyone here looks half dead. And the others seem to be having trouble focusing. Like Scott. That asshole kept looking at Avi, ready to jump if he needed to.

"Will you stop? I'm fine. Mitch is fine." Avi lean in and whispered.

"I'm sorry. Just...his scent earlier." He looks like he about to cry.

"Is it the same from when he went into labor with Addalin?"

"I don't know. Mitch wasn't with us when he went into labor. So, I have no idea what his scent was like before he did."

"Am I boring you, Alphas?" The presenter said.

"No, Sir." Avi said quickly, putting his and Scott's conversation on hold.

"Well, I must be if you two feel the need to have your own conversation in the middle of my speaking."

"My apologies, Sir." Scott said.

"Mind telling me what's got your attention diverted?"

Scott cleared his throat nervously. "I've got a pregnant Omega at home who's due any day now."

"And your worried she might give birth while your away?"

Scott nodded. He intentionally didn't correct the presenter for a reason. Mitch was kind of a miracle. No other male omega has survived childbirth

"Well, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we must continue."

Both Scott and Avi nodded.

Avi leaned back in his chair and look at the board. This is from the same thing as last time. Some new center they're wanting to build.

His thoughts were interrupted by a sharp pain in his stomach. He quietly groaned and place a hand over the spot where the pain was, and look over, only to be met with Scott's worried eyes.

He shook his head and nodded back to the board, telling him to pay attention. Avi knew he smelled the pain, and was pretty sure everyone else could too.

Lovely.

After a few minutes the pain went away, allowing Avi to focus again, until it came back.

This time he leaned forward to rest his head against the table and wrap his arms tightly around his mid section.

"Okay, Alphas. What is the issue?" The presenter said, redirecting his attention towards us. "Is everything alright? I smell pain."

"We're fine." Scott said. Avi saw Kevin eyeballing him from the other side of the table.

Avi lifted his head up and sat back in his chair as best he could. The pain went away almost completely. "I'm alright, Sir." I say and give a smile.

"Do you and your fellow pack members need to be dismissed?"

Avi saw Kevin looking at him. "Yes, Sir." Kevin said.

Avi gave him a 'what the fuck?!' look.

'Sorry' he mouths.

The presenter looms at him. "And who are you?"

Kevin stood up and held out his hand. "Kevin Olusola, Beta." He flicked his eyes and sat back down after receiving a hand shake.

"And your part of their pack?"

"I am, Sir. My Alpha hasn't been feeling well recently, that's why he's acting strange." He smiles, but the look in his eyes as he looked at Avi is one that said he was gonna kill the Alpha.

'What are you doing?' Avi mouthed.

He just gives Avi a pointed look, then the presenter turns to me. "Do you three need to leave?"

Avi looked from Kevin to Scott. Both of their faces are telling him to say yes. The deciding factor was when he felt feel the pain returning. He nodded. "Yeah. Yeah, we do." He said, putting a hand to his stomach again.

"Fine. Dismissed." The presenter sighed as he waved to the door.

He struggled to get up until he felt Scott lifting him to his feet and helping him walk.

The second the door to the meeting room shuts, Scott had him pressed against a wall and was looking at him. "What's happening?" He asked softly.

"I don't know." He said with a shaky voice. He started sliding down the wall as the pain increasesd. "Ah, fuck me." He grunted.

"Kevin, call Kirstie or Alex. Find out what's happening with Mitch." Scott said.

Kevin nodded and pulled out his phone.

Kirstie was in the middle of making some food for the twins. Alex was off somewhere with Addalin, Zac, and Rose. Mitch was sitting on the couch, playing on his phone.

Kirstie jumped when he phone rang. "Hello?"

"Hey." Kevin said.

"Hey, what's up?" She ask, grabbing the food and sitting with the twins and began feeding them.

"How's Mitch doin'?" He asked.

Kirstie turned around to look at her fellow omega. "He's fine. He's sitting there playing on his phone. I haven't smelled any pain come from him at all. Well, nothing more than what's been constant. Why?"

"Well, Uh, gosh this is weird to say, but, Avi's in labor, it seems like."

Avi wanted to chuckle at just how ridiculous that sentence sounded, but as Scott was picking him up from the floor, his knees buckled and he almost fell again.

"But, Mitch is fine." Kirstie said. "Be right back, oki?" She said to the twins and went to Mitch. "Are you alright?" She asked.

Mitch looked up at her, confused. "Yeah, why?" He said, just as he got an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.

Kirstie put the phone on speaker. "Tell him, Kev." She said.

"Well, Avi seems to be in labor, but you seem to be just fine." Kevin said, confused.

"Huh." Mitch said. "That's weird. What if-ow." He was cut off by pain.

Kirstie looked down with a worried look. "Mitch." She said.

He was gonna respond, but was cut off by more pain. This time much stronger. He slid out of the chair and sat on the ground with his legs crossed as he breathed through the pain

"Yep, there he goes." Kirstie said, dropping to her knees and rubbing Mitch's arm. "What do I do?"

"Get Alex and try to get to the hospital. Call me when you do." Kevin said.

Just then, Kirstie phone got an alert. "Uh, guys, we're supposed to have a huge storm tonight. They're closing all the roads."

"What, when?" Scott said.

"Couple hours?" She guessed. "You guys need to get home, now. Mitch needs you Scott." Just then Mitch cried out in pain.

"Okay, we're coming. Call me when something changes okay?" Kevin said.

Kirstie agreed and hung up and made Mitch look at her. "You got this, Mitchy"

Mitch sniffled and nodded. "It hurts." He whimpered.

She pulled him in for a hug. "Lets get you in the tub, okay?" She told him. She read that sitting in warm water can help you relax in between contractions. She called for Alex, so he could help her since she wasn't strong enough to carry Mitch herself.

He appeared with Addalin who was crying and reaching for her mother. All she knew, was that there was the smell of pain coming from Mitch. She didn't understand that it was just him being in labor. Alex forced himself to set the child down, ignoring her wailing, and helped Kirstie carry him to the bathroom.
