Chapter 156

Esther surged forward the moment Mitch hit the ground.

"Mitch?" She said, trying to wake him up. She couldn't wake him up, so she called for help. "Scott!"

Scott was down the stairs in less than five seconds. He heard the tone in Esther's voice, and he didn't like it. He saw Esther on the ground next to Mitch who was passed out.

"What happened?" He asked, gathering Mitch in his arms.

"Someone's at the door. Mitch checked who it was and then he passed out." She explained.

Scott looked at the door. "Are they still there?"

Esther shrugged. "Maybe? Mitch kinda slammed the door before he collapsed."

Scott nodded. "Put him on the couch. Ill take care of who's at the door."

She nodded and took Mitch from him.

Scott stood up and opened the door, planting a smile on his face.

He saw two people, a man and a woman, who seemed to be a bit older.

"Um, who are you? I don't mean to be rude, I just uh, don't know who you are." He chuckled.

"That's quite alright. We're here to see Mitchell." The woman said.

Scott blinked. "Mitchell? Why?"

"My name id Nel and this is my husband, Mike. We are Mitchell's parents."

Scott looked over at Esther, who looked worried.

He turned back and smiled. "If you could give me just a moment, I'll be right back."

They both nodded and Scott shut the door.

"What do we do?!" Scott whispered frantically.

"Tell Avi. He won't be happy though." She said, wiping the hair out of Mitch's face.

Scott nodded. "Keep trying to wake him up." He instructed, then ran upstairs.

He quickly knocked on Avi's door.

Avi rolled his eyes. He was so tired and all he wanted to do was sleep. He got up and went to the door, only to see a very worried looking Scott.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Mitch's parents are here." Scott said quickly.

"Im sorry, what?" Avi said. There was no way he heard that right.

"Mitch's parents. They're literally at the front door. Mitch is passed out on the couch and I have Esther trying to wake him up right now, but..."

"Okay, first you need to breathe before we do anything." Avi said, putting a hand on Scott's shoulder.

"But what about Mitch? This is gonna set him back so far." Scott sniffled.

"We'll  figure it out. For the time being, let's go see them."

Scott nodded and Avi went and put on a shirt then walked with Scott down the stairs

"Just breathe and take it easy."

Scott nodded and looked at the ground as he walked.

They saw that Esther had gotten Mitch awake, but he just had a blank expression.

Scott surged forward and knelt in front of him, only now seeing the tears that were on his mates face.

"Just breathe, baby. You need to breathe. I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere, okay?" He cupped Mitch's face and rubbed his thumb along his cheekbone.
