~~~Dream~~~
"Let my family go."
"Your family?" He spits. "I'm you're family."
"No! You are not. He and my daughter are. Now let. Them. Go." I take a step forward.
"Ah ah. I wouldn't do that." The man holding Addalin brought up a gun and placed it on her stomach.
"Hurt her and I'll kill every single one of you!"
"Put her in the van." My dad told him. That's when she starts screaming and hitting the man holding her.
"No!" I lunge.
It all happens so fast, that I don't know what happens first. Only now did I process that the third man had vanished. I hear a gun shot and I'm on the ground. I lay there, helpless as I watch Mitch, calling out for me and reaching for me, get shoved into the van and my dad coming towards me.
"You took the love of my life away. You made her leave. Now, I'm repaying the favor." He kicks me in the stomach, and it hurt much worse than I remember.
I see the third man walk from behind me. "I think one more should do it." My dad nodded and walked away.
I hear another gunshot and pain flares across my body.
~~~End of dream~~~

"No!" I shout as I bolt upright, panting. I look over and see Mitch isn't in bed, but I don't really think anything of it.

I sigh and throw the blankets off and rub my face. "Fuck." I whisper. Im so tired of having that dream. I keep reliving the moments before I got shot: when he took the two people I care about most.

I get up and head into the bathroom and turn on the shower. I make it as cold as I can, but before I get in, I stand in front of the mirror.

I run my finger along the vertical scar on my abdomen. My own father, the man that raised me and was supposed to be one of the important people in my life, tried, and almost succeeded, to kill me. God I hate him. I still cant figure out how Mitch got free and how he took down literally everyone. I also didn't see my father anywhere, so I have no idea where he is.

Mitch hasn't said anything yet. At least not to me. I have no idea if he's talked to anyone else, but I'm not gonna force him to say anything if he's not ready to, but because of what happened last time, I'm still keeping an eye on him.

I get into the shower and try and wash away my dream. My wounds, though almost healed, are still a bit sensitive, so I'm careful when I wash around them.

Once I've finished, I feel relatively normal. I dry of and just put some sweatpants on, not bothering to put a shirt on.

I head downstairs and I see Avi sleeping on top of some paperwork. I go over and wake him up. "Av." I say, rubbing his back.

He groans as he lifts his head, rubs his eyes, and fixes his hair so its out of his face. "Huh?" He says groggily.

"You were sleeping on the paperwork again. More Council stuff?" I ask as I sit next to him, grabbing a paper and looking at it.

He nods. "I have to file the report on the kidnapping. It's so much more difficult this time." He sighs and drops his hands onto the table.

"Why?"

"Addalin." He looked at me. "Shes a baby, it makes it a little difficult, I don't know how or why, but it does."

"Why all the sudden is the Council interested? Its.not like they've done anything to help."
