"Shui, I-" Bolin was interrupted when Shui tugged on his arm and kissed him. "Seriously Shui-" another kiss followed making Bolin laugh. "Shui, my parents are gonna get suspicious if I don't go-"

"Just one more," Shui grinned against Bolin's lips. "I'm not gonna see you over the weekend and I'll miss you." This time Shui leaned in and kissed Bolin deeply.

A small blush covered Bolin's cheeks as he slowly pulled away. He walked backwards and called out his promise. "I'll text you."

A grin slowly slid across Shui's face as he wiggled his fingers goodbye. "You better."

Bolin left the alley they had been hiding in behind Bolin's house and ran home. After taking off his shoes, he stood in his hallway for a second and thought about Shui. His heart melted in his chest as he realised he was falling in love with his best friend.

"Bolin? Is that you?" He Guan Shan shouted from the living room.

Bolin sighed, "Yeah." He walked into the living room and stood in the doorway. "How are you, dad?"

"Tired. I fu- hate being at home on my days off. So boring." Guan Shan turned to look at his son, a small frown on his face. "Are you okay? Your face is red. Do you have a fever?"

"Uh, no dad don't worry. I, uh, ran home so I'm warm. I have some homework to do so I'm just gonna go to my room."

"Okay, well dinner is at 7 so be washed and down here by then. Don't overdo yourself on homework, okay? And if you need help don't ask me; I hated that shit."

Bolin smiled. "Don't worry, dad. I'll be fine."

"Bolin! What did I say earlier!" Guan Shan shouted up the stairs. "Dinner at 7! It's 7:20. Your father and I are waiting for you!" When he received no response, Guan Shan gritted his teeth and murmured, "Don't make me come up there you little shit." When he still got not response, Guan Shan huffed and marched up stairs and into his son's room but found it empty.

Listening, he could hear the shower in his connected bathroom and Guan Shan looked around his son's room. It was clean as always, considering that Guan Shan had gone in there this morning to tidy up the small mess Bolin had made getting ready for school. Guan Shan was just about to leave when he heard a buzzing sound coming from his study desk. Looking, Guan Shan saw that his desk was covered in sheets of homework, notebooks, stationary and his phone.

A war waged inside Guan Shan's heart and he raised an eyebrow. He wanted to look to see who was messaging his son, but at the same time knew it was an evasion of privacy. When he still lived with his Ma, he knew that if she looked through his phone then he would've been mad. Before he could make a decision, a voice whispering in his ear startled him.

"What are you doing?"

Guan Shan almost screamed as he whipped himself around to find his husband standing with a grin on his face. "You chicken dick! You scared the shit out of me!" He punched He Tian in the chest and scowled at him.

Rubbing the spot that had been hit, He Tian looked around the room. "Where's Bolin? I'm starving, Guan Shan, I wanna eat now." He whined like a child.

"You have to wait, he's in the shower. Let's go." Guan Shan grabbed his arm and started to drag him out of the room before the phone buzzed again.

"What was that?" He Tian questioned as he looked around again.

"Bolin's phone, now let's go." The word 'Curiosity' may as well have been etched into He Tian's forehead as he stepped back into the room. Guan Shan knew exactly what he was up to and he didn't like where this was going. "Tian don't you dare pick up his phone. It's an invasion of privacy."
