One Day

Mo Guan Shan stood at the school gate and scanned his surroundings with narrowed eyes. Not only was he waiting for the demon that asked him to wait, but he was keeping an eye out for any sort of trouble. He promised his Ma that he would behave. An arm threw itself across Guan Shan's shoulders, making him flinch, and he turned his head to see He Tian grinning at him.

"Speak of the demon." Guan Shan mumbled.

"Aww," He Tian moved his face closer to Guan Shans'. "were you thinking about me?"

"Never, dumbass." Desperate to change the topic, Guan Shan turned his head away and crossed his arms. "Why did you want me to wait this time?"

"Well, I thought we could go on a date. Just the two of us."

Guan Shan blushed profusely. "D-date?! You pervert! Who the fuck would wanna date you?"

Both boys turned around when He Tian pointed behind them. He pointed towards a group of girls that stood near the school entrance. They giggled and waved when they noticed he was looking.

"Them." He grinned as he turned back around. "And you. Don't deny it, Little Mo. We both know you want me all to yourself." He winked at the red-faced boy.

"Shut your chicken dick mouth! I'm not going on a date with you." Guan Shan shoved He Tian's arm off his shoulders and stormed forward.

He Tian stood still for a second and watched the redhead. "You didn't deny it, Don't Close Mountain." His grin turned devilish. "If you want to lock me up and keep me all to yourself, all you have to do is ask."

Guan Shan turned back and grabbed He Tian's shirt. "I don't wanna date you, asshole. I wanna go home." He let go and marched away. "Go date one of those girls."

He Tian rushed after him and threw his arm around the redhead's shoulders again. "Aww come on, Guan Shan. I'm only playing. Let me buy you some popcorn." He steered them back towards their original destination and Guan Shan grumbled the entire way.

When they reached the cinema, the two walked inside and came face to face with Jian Yi and Zhan Zheng Xi. Jian Yi, who was thrown off guard for a second, grinned and patted He Tian's shoulder. "What are you guys doing here? Oh! Let's watch the same film and sit together!"

He Tian ruffled Jian Yi's hair. "Not today. Redhead and I are on a date."

Guan Shan glared at He Tian. "What part of 'it's not a date', do you not understand!"

He Tian turned to Guan Shan with a serious expression, "The 'not' part." He looked at Jian Yi again. "But it's funny that we all came here, right? Great minds think alike."

"More like dumb minds." Zheng Xi mumbled before he grabbed Jian Yi's sleeve. "Come on. They clearly don't want to be disturbed. Let's find a movie."

Jian Yi looked at Zheng Xi with big eyes. "Oh, does that mean we're on a date too?"

Zheng Xi and Guan Shan both at the same time exclaimed, "It's not a date!"

After picking a random movie, Guan Shan and He Tian got a drink and some popcorn and made their way towards the theatre. They noticed that Zheng Xi and Jian Yi were watching a different movie and went to find their seats. During the entire movie, Guan Shan noticed He Tian had his hand turned upwards on the armrest as if he was waiting for Guan Shan to take it.

Half way through the film, Guan Shan realised he hadn't been paying much attention to the film and seemed to be self-conscious of He Tian at all times. When he finally did start relaxing and getting into the film, He Tian suddenly reached across Guan Shan so that their faces were inches apart.

"What the holy fuck are you doing?" Guan Shan whispered.

He Tian looked at him out of the corner of his eye. He sat still for a second before he reached for the drink that was sat on Guan Shan's side. "Having a drink. Why, what's wrong, Little Mo? You look a little flustered." He Tian put the straw in his mouth and Guan Shan watched the liquid travel up the straw and into his mouth. Guan Shan swallowed hard.

He frowned and turned his head, pushing He Tian's face away from his own. "You're too close, dumbass. Move."

When the film ended, He Tian walked Guan Shan back to his place. He Tian folded his arms and rested himself in the doorway as Guan Shan took his shoes off. "Did you enjoy the film?"

Guan Shan faced He Tian and held onto the door. "Yeah," he rubbed his neck and his cheeks took on a nice shade of pink. "thanks."

He Tian reached forward and patted Guan Shan's head. "Anything for you, Don't Close Mountain. Before I go, do I get a goodbye kiss?" He grinned.

Guan Shan deadpanned. "Don't push it."

He Tian chuckled. "Only joking. Now go inside and do your homework like a good little boy."

Guan Shan narrowed his eyes at him playfully. "You go do your homework."

He Tian smiled softly. "Have a good night."

In a moment of weakness, Guan Shan let a small smile slip through. "You too." Just as He Tian was about to walk away, Guan Shan called his name. When He Tian looked at him, Guan Shan grabbed his shirt and kissed him hard on the lips. As quickly as the kiss came, it was gone along with Guan Shan, who had slipped away behind his door and shut it.

He Tian stood in shock for a few minutes, reeling in the kiss. He could still feel Guan Shan's lips on his as he felt his heart all but explode inside of his chest.

"Wow."
