After repeatedly trying to remove She Li's Superman grip on his wrist, Jian Yi gave up and let himself be dragged through the streets. His fears of running into the three men that had previously been chasing him were slowly dissipating and he was now looking around as the streets became more and more unfamiliar.

He wanted to ask She Li if he could go home, but strangely he didn't want to be alone. With Zhan Zheng Xi and Mo Guan Shan gone to University, He Tian disappearing off to who knows where and his mother hardly ever at home, he had become increasingly alone.

His loneliness was trying to outweigh the warning bells going off in his head reminding him of what She Li had done to him and his friends over their middle school years. Just as he was about to open his mouth to ask She Li, yet again, where they were going, a hand gripping his upper arm distracted his thoughts. The two boys turned to see what the disturbance was.

An annoyed looking Zheng Xi was staring between Jian Yi and She Li. "Jian Yi, what the hell are you doing with him?"

Silence surrounded the three as shock set in before Jian Yi ripped himself free of She Li's grasp and he dived onto Zheng Xi, wrapping his arms around his neck. Zheng Xi's arm circled around Jian Yi's back and squeezed in a possessive manner as he glared at She Li. She Li watched on with hooded eyes.

Zheng Xi pulled Jian Yi away slightly but kept his hand on Jian Yi's shoulder. "Why are you with him?" He asked again.

"He saved me when I got chased." Jian Yi bounced up and down like a child on Christmas day.

A bewildered look crossed his face. "Chased?! What-" He shook his head and turned to look at She Li, his gaze softening a bit. "Never mind, we'll talk about it later. Thanks."

She Li ignored him and cocked his head to the side. "Why are you back, University Boy? Can't you see that Jian Yi was quite happy with me until you showed up and look, now he's all distracted."

"I came back for-" Zheng Xi glanced at Jian Yi before shaking his head slightly. "That's none of your business. You can leave now. He's perfectly safe with me." One second, Jian Yi was in Zheng Xi's view and the next, he was gone. Zheng Xi turned to see that She Li had grabbed him again and dragged him back to his side.

"When I asked where you were earlier, he looked sad and lonely like a poor helpless puppy. Don't you get it? You're giving him false hope by showing up like this, because you'll be gone again and he's go right back to being lonely. I, on the other hand, will always be here to keep him company."

Zheng Xi caught a hurt look cross Jian Yi's face and this time Zheng Xi decided to ignore She Li and talk to him directly. "I've spoken to your mother and He Tian and we all came up with a surprise for you. We're moving you down to the University. There's a school close to the University you can go to and we're gonna get a place together. It's why I left for University a week early. It's why He Tian's been gone as well - we've been school and house hunting."

With each word Zheng Xi spoke, a spark of hope lit up in Jian Yi's eyes. He turned to She Li and, surprising everyone, wrapped his arms around She Li's neck. He squeezed for a second before he stood back and patted his shoulder. "Let's hang out another time. Oh, here," He reached into his pocket and pulled out a round, yellow sweet, putting it in She Li's outstretched hand. "This is payment for you saving me."

Jian Yi then moved away from She Li and grabbed Zheng Xi's hand, the pair walking away together talking about the things they would need to buy for their new place together. She Li watched the pair then stared at the sweet in his still outstretched hand. He suddenly started laughing and put his hand on his face.

"Sure, let's hang out another time."
