One Day
"This is bullshit," Mo Guan Shan grumbled as he watched as a girl wrap a yellow silk robe around his waist and tie it tightly. "I look ridiculous." The girl glanced up at him with a raised eyebrow. She was part of the wardrobe team that helped all of the actors get dressed for the play.
"No, you don't. You look like an Emperor*." She smiled. "You should be glad you got this role. You're going to be the star of the show."
"I was tricked into being here. I don't wanna be an Emperor; I don't even want to be here. That demon bastard He Tian is gonna pay for this."
At the mention of the school's prince, the girl before Guan Shan swooned. "He Tian. He's playing such a handsome Samurai. I can't wait to see how he performs. He's gonna be the star of the show."
Guan Shan glared at her. "I thought you said I was gonna be the star."
"I thought you didn't even want to be here." She countered. Guan Shan opened his mouth to retaliate but was stopped by another voice in the doorway.
"Yellow really is your colour, Mo Guan Shan."
Guan Shan turned to see She Li decked out in a dress of armour with a red undercoat and brown leather boots. He was leaning against the doorway and his yellow eyes slowly crawled up and down Guan Shan's attire causing a shiver to run up his spine.
He swallowed hard. "The fuck do you want?"
Sensing the tension between the two, the young girl in the room decided it would be best if she left. Slowly she made her way past She Li and out of the room. She patted She Li on the shoulder and whispered to him. "You look good in a warriors outfit. By the way, I ship you two so go and get your man."
She Li raised an eyebrow at her but said nothing. He watched her until she disappeared out of sight then turned his steely gaze back on Guan Shan. "You were given the perfect role, Mo Guan Shan. The Emperor really suits you."
"Bullshit. I would rather be a fucking tree than the centre of attention."
Walking slowly into the room, She Li could sense that he was making Guan Shan more nervous and uncomfortable by the second. She Li was enjoying himself. "Yeah, you were always like that - never wanted to be in the spotlight. That was why you always hid behind me, wasn't it?" She Li stood in front of Guan Shan's tense body and grabbed at the robe and rubbed the silk material. "When you were apart of my group; when I owned you."
"Don't touch what you can't afford, shithead."
Guan Shan's head snapped to the doorway and visibly relaxed when he saw He Tian standing in the doorway. He Tian was dressed in head-to-toe black armour with a red robe on underneath and black boots. He held a fake Katana* in one hand and a helmet in the other
She Li didn't turn to look but instead watched Guan Shan's reaction. Anger surged through him at how comfortable Guan Shan seemed to be with He Tian now. He hadn't been like that with She Li for a long time. Turning his lips up at the corners, She Li turned his head slightly to stare at He Tian out of the corner of his eyes. "Seems like you should take your own advice."
"I'm not an item you chicken dicks can buy. Now move out of my way." Guan Shan stormed past She Li, knocking into his shoulder as he went by.
