One Day
Jian Yi barely caught a glimpse of the three men chasing him as he turned a corner. Running out of breath fast, he had to find somewhere to hide before they caught up with him. He didn't like the idea of what they would do to him once they got a hold of him.
Suddenly, a hand reached out from around another corner and grabbed Jian Yi's shirt, dragging him sideways. He was shoved against a wall and a hand came to cover his mouth before he could protest. Looking up, he saw She Li staring at him with his index finger over his mouth, indicating for Jian Yi to keep quiet. With his hands still on Jian Yi's shirt and mouth, he turned his head and watched as the three men passed the alleyway they were hidden in.
When neither of the boys could hear them anymore, She Li stared down at him with searching eyes that slowly narrowed into amused ones. Jian Yi pushed his hand away and She Li took a step backwards. "Why were they chasing you, Jian Yi?"
Readjusting his shirt, Jian Yi puffed his cheeks out a little. "They walked into me. Why should I apologise?" He grumbled, mainly to himself. "How did you even find me here? Are you stalking me? You know we're not in school anymore right?"
"Stalking you? Not even in your wildest dreams. I was walking by when I saw you running this way." She Li shook his head, his white hair swishing in front of his eyes. "Where's your little partner in crime anyway?" She Li looked around, just noticing that Zhan Zheng Xi was nowhere to be seen.
A hurt look covered Jian Yi's face but he recovered quickly, "He moved last week for university. I won't get to see him much until I catch up."
She Li was silent for a moment before he ruffled Jian Yi's hair. "That's alright. You can hang out with me until you go to university."
Jian Yi looked at She Li like he had just asked him if he knew what the answer to '6x+4y' was. "Hang out with you? After everything you did in school? You're crazy. Why would I do something like that for?"
"How else are you supposed to pay me back for saving you just now?" She Li raised an eyebrow.
"Pay you... I never asked you to help me; I could've handled them perfectly fine." Jian Yi folded his arms and raised his nose at She Li, making a little 'hmpf' noise in the process.
She Li raised his hand and put it on the wall next to Jian Yi's head. "They would have beaten you to a pulp and you know it, weakling." His lips curled up in one corner, mocking Jian Yi. In response, Jian Yi stuck his tongue out and pressed himself backwards into the wall. She Li's hand went from the wall to Jian Yi's tongue, where he touched the tip of it. "Put that tongue away before I make good use of it."
Jian Yi's tongue shot straight back into his mouth and his face blushed a bright red. "Now I remember why Mo Guan Shan didn't want to be friends with you, you weirdo."
She Li chuckled and grabbed Jian Yi's wrist, dragging him out of the alleyway and into the open street. "Come with me."
"W-what? Where are we going?" Jian Yi was trying to divert his attention between She Li and looking out for the three guys that had been chasing him previously.
"I told you, you can hang out with me. So we're going back to my place to, 'hang out'." She Li turned back and winked at Jian Yi, causing another blush to cover his face.
