A Night To Remember - Part One

In Mandarin (the language spoken in China), Buzz cut is Cun Tou, so that's what I'm going to call Mo Guan Shan's friend from now on.

One Day

"You're pregnant."

The doctor slapped the piece of paper with Mo Guan Shan's information across the desk in front of the shocked boy.

After a moment, the pale, ginger boy spoke up quietly. "Impossible. I'm not an omega."

The doctor rubbed his hands across his chin. "Yes, I did see that your previous testing showed that you were diagnosed as a beta. This alpha that you conceived with, his pheromones must have been strong enough to trigger your natural, omega hormones. Surely you must have realised this when alpha's pheromones started affecting you?"

Guan Shan shook his head slightly. "Neither alpha nor omega pheromones ever affected me before that night. I was really drunk when I... met that guy. I thought it was just someone's perfume."

The doctor leaned forward across his desk and interlocked his fingers together. "You seem to be in shock, which is understandable. I think it's best for you to go and speak to the father and talk things through with him. Hopefully you come to a peaceful conclusion."

As Guan Shan left the doctors' office, he started to get mad. Really mad. Peaceful conclusion, my ass. I'm gonna cut his balls off. He started to stomp towards the direction of the train station when his phone started ringing. It was Cun Tou.

"Brother Mo! I've been trying to get a hold of you for the past hour. Where have you been?"

Cun Tou's relieved voice made Guan Shan's eyes water as self pity worked its way through him. He sniffed and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand. "Meet me at our usual spot."

"Now? Are you okay, Brother Mo? You sound upset."

"I'm fine!" He shouted down the phone. His pride taking over. "Just meet me." He hung up.

Cun Tou was already waiting at the burger house by the time Guan Shan arrived. By the time the pair had ordered their food and sat down to eat, Guan Shan was exhausted. He had been on a roller coaster of emotions today and all he wanted to do was sleep.

"So," Cun Tou glanced at the redhead as he shoved a handful of fries into his mouth. "what's up? You look like someone just died."

Absentmindedly, Guan Shan started to pick the seeds off of his burger bun. "I'm pregnant."

He looked up when Cun Tou began choking on his fries. He picked up his drink to help and slammed it back down, taking deep breaths. "What?!" He shouted, causing everyone to look their way.

Guan Shan glared at him. "Shut the fuck up, Chicken Dick."

"Sorry." Cun Tou mumbled. "But I thought you were a beta? How did you even find out?"

Guan Shan's already permanent frown got deeper. "Me too. Apparently that bastard turned me into an omega with his pheromones. I wasn't feeling good so I went to the doctors today and they told me."

"'That bastard'? Who is it anyway?"

Guan Shan pushed his food away, appetite suddenly gone. He cleared his throat before he turned away and watched the people in the line. "You remember the party we went to a month ago? It was then. I was so drunk that night I feel like I had no self control. Must have lost all sense of who I was, especially if that bastard's pheromones affected me in that way. Yeah, it's his fault. That fucker He Tian."

Cun Tou dropped the burger that was in his hand, his eyes wide. "You mean the He Tian? The popular boy from school that has all of those girls around him all the time? How do you even know him?"

"I only met him at the party and we never spoke again after that! I avoided that fucker like he was Satan himself. I heard he was looking for me but I didn't want to see him. I barely remembered what happened that night and I would have liked to keep it that way." Guan Shan put his head in his hands.

Cun Tou stared at Guan Shan. "I can't believe you slept with him. I can't believe he slept with a stranger, a boy at that."

"He drugged me with his goddamn pheromones." Guan Shan folded his arms. "Shit, what do I do?"

"Uh, you tell him and make him help you with the baby. I heard he's loaded."

Guan Shan perked up a bit at that. "Really? No, I can't. I don't want to be looked at with charity in his eyes."

"You still gotta get him to help though, he is the father."

Guan Shan glanced up at the door when a couple walked in. They were arm in arm and smiling like newly-weds. Guan Shan's eyes travelled down to the lady's stomach, which was bulging. Something turned in his stomach and he felt sick, the reality of the situation finally hitting him. He was pregnant.

A hand landed on the brick wall that Guan Shan was leaning on in front of his face. He turned to see He Tian smiling seductively down at him.

"Hey stranger."

Guan Shan raised his lip in disgust. "What took you so long, fucker? I called you an hour ago."

"I don't live close, you know. The train to get here is a killer. Where have you been anyway? I've been trying to get a hold of you for over a month now. I've missed you."

Suddenly a wave of He Tian's pheromones fanned against Guan Shan, causing him to shiver. A blush spread across his cheeks and he covered his nose, fearing he would try and jump He Tian right there and then. An orange tree crossed Guan Shan's mind every time he came across He Tian's pheromones.

"Stop that, Chicken Dick. I hate it."

He Tian leaned in closer, trapping Guan Shan between himself and the wall. "You started it. Your pheromones are flying by in waves, affecting all alphas that walk within a ten foot radius of you. I don't know if anyone's ever told you but your pheromones smell like a winter's day."

Guan Shan gritted his teeth, his eyes darting around to see if what He Tian said was true. He caught a glimpse of a male staring at him as he went past; he eyed Guan Shan and covered his nose with the sleeve of his shirt.

"That makes no sense. What does a winter's day even smell like? Forget it. I have something I need to tell you." Guan Shan avoided his intense gaze. His focus suddenly went to the two girls that were walking past.

"Can you smell that? Is that an omega's pheromones? They're so strong!"

"I think it's that ginger boy over there. Maybe he hasn't learned to control them yet?"

"But he looks old enough. He should know better."

He Tian noticed that Guan Shan was becoming increasingly uncomfortable. He thought for a moment before grabbing the smaller boy's wrist. "Let's go somewhere else and talk. I want to get to know you better. Can you cook? I'm hungry."

"H-hey!" Guan Shan shouted but didn't try to remove his wrist from He Tian's grip as he let himself get dragged away. He sighed. He supposed his surprise pregnancy announcement would just have to wait.
