Opening the hard box I peered at the objects it held. Trinkets and some other random things were scattered around the dark brown box, a picture of my mom at a store or something similar to that was at the bottom. Slowly pulling it out I noticed the number of hats that lined the back shelves behind her, she stood in the center, a fedora was places on her head, she was smiling showing some sharp wolf teeth with a finger over her mouth as is shushing someone as she lifted the hat on one side, showing her grey wolf ears. I set the photo back in the box and pulled out a lace jewelry sack. Loosening the string I undid it, it was a ring similar to mine, Icy's, and Midnights but her stone was pink color. I felt a urge to throw it cross over me, were did it come from? (WHERE DID IT GO? WHERE DID IT COME FROM COTTEN EYED JOE) why do we all have a ring? Me and Midnight had traded rings so I had a dark blue one with black swirled in it and Midnight had my formal red ring to match her wings. When I put my blue one or I felt a surge of energy go through me, it was like I found a missing part of myself that I never knew I was missing, Midnight agrees but Icy has her purple one and doesn't feel like it though, she must have someone else.

"Shadow! Shadow! Will I ever become a full wolf?" Kadence said, she had learned how to perk her ears up and down on command and currently they were standing on point. Then I notice they were a pink color.

"How about we ask Calum?" I answered, still peering at her ears. I put my hand our to fix her messy hair.

"Who's that?" She asked, knocking my hand away and waiting.

"He is the leader of a group of shadow wolves," I turned back around remembering the note, I have to read it.

"AWESOME! when can we go?" She jumped up and down, stumbling a little due to the lack of balance her four year old body had.

"Tomorrow maybe, I must do something though, ask Sally to prepare you for training." I told her, knowing her and Sally like to pretend train like a coach and student. She nodded and left as I pulled the note out of my drawer.

The paper was yellowed and the ends were a bit torn, the creases showed they had been unfolded and folded over and over again causing it to fall apart again. There was many eraser marks under the words making it seem like they had had to change the paper multiple times. Whoever made it wanted to be completely accurate and it showed.
