Casting Shadows (a Creepypasta book)

Trouble

I woke up in the living room, Slender had his arms around me and Kadence was sitting in my lap,I smiled down at the young girl as she slept. I couldn't turn to a wolf being squished like this, so instead I wiggled out of Slender's grip, lifting the young girl and setting her down I'm his lap, he wrapped his arms around her protectively. I went and got a French book from Slender's study. sat down and studied it till Slender woke up,
"avez-vous réveillez finement à partir de votre jamais dormir?" I laughed, (did you finely wake up from your forever sleep?)
"oui mon loup d'ombre," he looked down at Kadence, she was still laying in his lap, (yes my shadow wolf)
"what do I do?" He asked peering up at me. I giggled, Slenderman doesn't know how to treat children nicely, after all, their usually his victims.
"Just sooth her like you do when I'm sad," I walked over to him sitting on the couch next to him. He pet her hair softly till her eyes fluttered, Slender froze, unsure what to do. She then sat up and smiled, giving Slender a tight hug,He tensed at first but soon relaxed.
"Kadence, how about you go play with Sally outside for a bit while I talk to Slender," Kadence smiled and ran off. "Slender, I asked you couple of days ago, now I'll ask you again, " I crawled into his lap and hugged him, "what are we going to do with Kadence?" He just looked at me, his expression blank.
"It depends on what the others say,"
"But your the head of the Slender Mansion! Don't you get to make the decisions?" Slender just nodded thoughtfully. Then his head snapped up,
"Kadence and Sally are outside playing right?" I nodded, "GET THEM INSIDE NOW!" He yelled, his urgency scared me, I ran outside to find Sally screaming and whaling, trying to hold back the Hunter before he could walk through the portal holding Kadence. I Transformed as I ran, shifting to a shadow right next to the portal, when the Hunter got near I jumped out, knocking him to the ground, Kadence hit the ground with h and blood started to pool around her. I ran over to her after I saw Slender taking care of the Hunter. I transformed back and held Kadence in my hands, her head was cracked open in the back and I could tell she was loosing to much blood, I stood up caring her, running to Slender who was finishing off a Hunter, he let Jeff take over apace he took me inside. "S-Shadow?" Kadence asked as she gripped my hand weakly,
"Yes Kadence?" She looked at me, her face was pale, I wiped some tears away,
"W-will you s-sing to me?" She asked, looking at me her life consumed of minutes at the most left, "sure, Kadence," I wiped away more tears as they fell, everyone gathered around, I could hear Slender and Jeff talking about making her a creepypasta or not.

Hush little baby don't say a word,

If that mocking bird don't sing,

I cried as I sang, letting the tears run down my cheeks, I didn't care everyone was watching, all that I cared about was the little girl Kadence was laying in my arms dying. "We can make her a creepypasta if she doesn't die during the process," Jeff let out a sigh, I carried her over to the bed laying her down before I kissed her forehead as if I was tucking her in bed. Because that's all it was, Kadence was just going to sleep for a little and she'd wake up later. I felt someone touch my arm, I looked up to see Sally, her tear stained cheeks were hard to miss along with her very red face. "Will Kadence be okay?" She asked, tugging my arm,
"I hope so," I said, crying harder. I felt a long arms pick me up bridal style and carry me to the bedroom. They laid me down on the bed slowly, I only realized how tired I was when I started to drift off to sleep.

"Shadow," I felt someone shake my arm, I sat up quickly,
"Is Kadence awake?"
"No, but I think she's dying,"
"dying?" I asked to sleepy to actually be listening. Then it registered in my head. I shot out of bed, transforming and running to Kadence's room where the young girl laid. I transformed back, it was true, her pulse was slowing and her skin was to pale to be healthy.
"She'll probably die tonight," I heard the voice again, I turned to see Jeff, worry in his eyes. I didn't notice I was crying till I felt a tear hit my hands that were placed in my lap. Jeff walked over to me, he held me in his arms as I cried, then I looked up at him, he leaned in, before he could kiss me I turned my head to look at Kadence. "Jeff, you have Midnight, I have Slender," I started talking but he cut me off with soft lips, I relaxed a little but then pulled back, slapping him. I turned to a wolf and laid with Kadence, giving her warmth for the long night.
