Roses

Midnights unicorn had died. James killed him. I'm no longer calling James my father. He was never a real father. Just a fake to make people sad.

"Come on mommy!" Kadence called running down the stairs, it's been a day since she found out and no one else knows.

"Mommy?" Midnight looked up from grieving about the unicorn.

"Er, umm, yeah." I answered.

"How?" Icy said, she was sitting in Hoodies lap, she'd been trying to remove his mask but he wouldn't let her. I explained everything.

"I want a child like Kadence." Midnight said, looking at Jeff, he rolled his eyes.

"No children." He answered, "to much love needed that I must provide." Now it was Midnights turn to roll her eyes.

"Guess what guys!" Kadence said, breaking the silence, everyone looked at her asking a things like what, what is it, do tell, spill, anything similar to that. "I can grow a rose!" She said happily.

"Know who else can grow roses?" Jeff said, raising one eyebrow. "Of-" he didn't finish because Midnight elbowed him in the side. But Offender could make roses. Slender stared at me, I don't remember anything about having a child, especially the father.

"Who's the dad Shadow?" Jeff asked.

"I don't remember." I answered nervously. Slender put his arm on me making me flinch. He used a tentacle to put his arm around Kadence. His head was turned towards the the wall like he was concentrating he dropped his tendril and arm.

"Nathan Ginger, Dead, Ally Faller, Alive." Slender said aloud.

"What?" I asked, what was he talking about.

"That's whose genes are in Kadence."

"My name was Ally Faller, I don't remember who Nathan Ginger is though, you said he was dead?"

"Yes."

"Since I learned something new can I pleaseeee ride the unicorn?" Kadence begged, putting her hands together.

"Kadence the unicorn-" Jeff started, Midnight elbowed him again.

"Is living in a new forrest with different trees and magical stuff." Midnight finished smiling.

"Oh okay..." Kadence hung her head. "When's Christmas!?" She said, perking up quickly. We didn't usually celebrate Christmas, I gave a slight nod to everyone telling them we should celebrate it just for Kadence.

"Isn't it like, tomorrow?" Icy answered. We looked over to see her wearing Hoodies mask, Hoodie had some type of magic keeping his face hidden with darkness. Kadence giggled at Icy's new mask.

"Yeah it's tomorrow," BEN said, checking his phone.

"CAN WE PUT UP A CHRISTMAS TREE!?" Kadence screamed.

"Yeah sure lets go shopping for one, anyone care to join?" I answered.

"Sure," Icy and Midnight said in unison. We grabbed some stuff heading out the door. I messed with my appearance to look a little more normal. We'd look kinda silly with my blue highlighted hair and tears, Midnights red highlighted hair and giant moon tattoo over her eye, Kadence's pink dip dyed hair and unnaturally pink eyes, Icy's blue hair and little snowflakes sat onto of her ice crown she should have left at home. I made my tears disappear, you learn something new everyday, Midnight made her tattoo disappear too. Icy's ice crown is made out of some weird ice that never melts so she just put it on Kadence's head, Kadence didn't mind at all.

We picked out a traditional Christmas tree, seeing all of the Christmas things made me want to cry but crying would just bring more attention, then my word ears would perk up then, well, you should know the rest.

"Goodnight Kadence." I whispered, tucking her into bed and kissing her forehead.

"Will you tuck me in too?" Sally asked, Kadence and Sally shared a room.

"Of course." I answered getting up and tucking Sally in. I left the room, slowly closing the doors behind me. Kadence should probably go to school, she only four but still doesn't know how to count properly. Tomorrows Christmas too, so many things could go wrong. I walked into Slender's room and crawled into bed, greeted by warm arms around my waist and being pulled closer. I snuggled into his chest firmly, "goodnight Slendy," I giggled.

"Goodnight child." He answered, I felt his chest bounce a big, knowing he chuckled, he hated the name Slendy, I was the only one who he didn't mind me calling him Slendy.
