Wake Me Up

A dream once more

Aksidente lang ba na nakita kita sa panaginip ko? O naka-tadhana talaga tayong magtagpo?

Sa panaginip man hanggang sa pagmulat ng aking mga mata you're still there .. there, inside me. But why I can't hold you there only in my dreams? Should I stay in darkness with you instead, because I can love you there endlessly?

Let me dream of him once more. I want to talk to him. I have a lot of things to tell him.

I want to tell him how much I love him .. in my dreams and in reality ...

"HOW long have you been dreaming of me?" I asked.

Samuel envelopes me into his arm while watching the peaceful lake surrounded by wild flowers and giant trees.

"Should I be the one asking you that?"

We are sitting under the shade of acacia  and being serenade by the sweet chirp of birds.

Marahang dumampi ang kanyang labi sa aking sentido at sinamyo ang aking buhok na malayang nililipad ng hangin.

"I've been wanting to ask you that. Since the day I've met you, my life has changed .. a lot." Paulit-ulit niyang dinadampian ng maliliit na halik ang aking buhok habang mahigpit na nakayakap sa akin.

Ipinikit ko ang aking mga mata at ninamnam ang bawat sandali.

Muling dumampi ang kanyang labi sa aking pisngi.

"I can't still believe that I often have you in my dreams .. like it was real." I told him with so much sincerity. "Akala ko ako lang ang may alam. I almost gave you up because I was too disappointed that you didn't know me ..."

Hindi ko namalayan ang biglang pagpatak ng aking mga luha. Sana ito na ang huling beses na iiyak ako dahil sa'yo.

"I'm sorry if I came too late ..  I won't leave you again, I promise .." he almost gasp as he utter those words.

It somehow calmed my agony.

He cupped my face and kissed my forehead softly.

"You are too precious to lose. But you've suffered enough, I'll make sure that won't happen again ..." I can feel his breath near me sending different sensation. He is brushing my hair like an expert while planting soft kisses onto it.

"I've been looking for you .. you left me in darkness." Itinaas ko ang aking kamay at dinama ang kanyang mukha na nakatunghay sa akin. He's looking at me so seriously as if he also want to savor this moment.  "Don't leave me again, Samuel  .. please?"

My tears fell again. This will be the last time I'd cry for you. If so, I'll cry again, not because of sadness, but because of bliss.

He wiped the tears falling down my face. But it didn't stop. It's like the mystic river arrayed giving kaleidoscopic ruth.

"Takot na takot ako .. hindi kita makita. Hinabol kita kahit saan, pero wala ka na! I thought I won't ever see you again .." I'm still holding his face. Paulit-ulit kong dinadama ang bawat sulok ng mukha nito, I just want to make sure that it's really him.

At sa mabilis na paraan, hinila niya ako palapit sa kanya. Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit kasabay ng pagdama niya sa aking buhok. Bumaba ang kanyang kamay sa aking likuran at hinaplos iyon ng marahan. Naghatid iyon ng kakaibang ginhawa na siyang pumawi sa lahat ng takot sa aking dibdib.

Ipinikit ko ang aking mga mata at saka pinagsalikop ang dalawang kamay sa batok nito. Isinubsob ko sa kanyang balikat
ang aking mukha na noo'y basa pa rin sa luha.

Itinaas ko ang aking mukha at masuyong tumingin sa kanya. He equalled my stare then slowly reach for my desirous lips. Marahan kong ipinikit ang aking mga mata at malayang dinama ang bawat kiliting iginagawad ni Samuel.

But before I could feel the sweetness of his lips a voice echoed beneath us.

"Dionne!"

Ngunit muli kong ipinikit ang aking mga mata at tila uhaw na dinama ang mga halik ni Samuel. I thought this would last forever. I thought everything would be better but he let me go.

"No! Dionne .. we need to go back." That's what he said as he slowly fading in front of me.

I reached out for him with fear in my eyes.

"Samuel?! Don't leave me .. please!"

But he didn't listen nor stop for I was crying terribly.

"Go back .. I'll wait for you, there .."

That's the last word I heard from him before he left from darkness.

'No! Please .. come back!'

"Dionne ..!" That voice called my name again .. but I can't find it.

Until his voice suddenly spoke to me like he's really there .. with me. And I realized that I was really dreaming .. and I was with him .. in my lucid dream.

"Dionne, you shouldn't be there .. alone. Don't live only in your dreams when you can live in reality. I'll be there ..."
