After they got home, they put down their things, and settled down. They were clearly tired, from the long walk. Even so, it was enjoyable, for them all to have some time together. It was refreshing.
In awhile, they were able to relax. No one spoke a sound. However, there was no eerie silence, but rather a calm one.
Interrupting the silence, a sudden yell came, from the house, next door. It wasn't a surprised scream, but a scared one. Soon enough, attention was directed, at the house.
Still, no matter how much you stared, there was no more cries, for help, which sent a chill down mosts spines.
When it was no longer the center of attention, a squad of police arrived. They kicked down the door, and there lay a horrific sight.
