Pride Month Day 5: Coming Out Story

Well I'm actually out to a couple people, so let's see, which one to do....

Let's go with my first coming out of all time.

I was in... gods, it must have been seventh grade. I was walking around at recess with my aro ace friend (the play equipment was off limits for everyone in middle school, so the only thing we could do was sit around or walk), I think the others where inside for late or missing work or something. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was just me and her. We were just walking around until I had finally worked up enough courage and just blurted it out, "I'm asexual."

Boom, the marching band starts blaring, the confetti flies, wave those pride flags high!!

Yeah no. It was actually pretty anticlimactic, which was exactly what I needed at the time, when i think back on it. I was nervous kid (still am) and this was a really big thing for me. She was like, "awesome! Welcome to the ace club, we have cake and puns" and that was that. We moved on to other topics, I think she may have asked me how I figured it out  at one point, but it felt really good. So yeah, that's how I came out. *insert finger guns*

P.S. if any of you want to comment your own reply to the pride thing go ahead!! I'd love to hear from you!

POSITIVE TIIIIIIIIIIME

I'll admit, I'd never expect this to get so far, day 60!!

Anyways, for today's thing get to a calm, quiet spot where you won't be pestered for a maximum of twenty minutes.

Okay, you there? Good.

Sit on a comfortable surface, top of the freezer for all I care, so long as you're comfortable. Try to be in an upright position, but if you want or need to lay down that's fine too.

I want you to place your hands either on your knees/legs or next to your legs for laying down people. Palm up or palm down, doesn't matter.

Close your eyes, and focus on yourself.

Where are you putting the most pressure?

Try to easy up, shift around until it's lessen some what.

Where is the most weight centered?

Try to spread the weight out to other parts of your body, shifting forwards, backwards, side to side.

Where is the most tension?

Relax your muscles there, imagine it ghosting away with the breeze.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Go to your favorite calming place in your mind.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Imagine you're there, in your mind, instead of where you actually are.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Match all the small sounds you hear to things you'd hear where you are.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Match the things you feel to things you'd feel where you are.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Let yourself rest there.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Keep this up for as long as you want, you deserve it.

Breath in for four.

Hold for seven.

Exhale for eight.

Slowly come back to the room you're sitting or laying in.

I hope you feel even slightly better then before.

On an unrelated note, how would y'all feel if I screenrecorded myself reading this out so all you have to do is listen instead of reading? Just for these things, these relaxation pieces nothing else. Idk, think about it and comment your thoughts okay? I want to know if that's even something you'd like to be a thing.

Stay safe kiddos, try to get some sleep tonight okay?

Love you all <3<3<3<3
