Pride Day 15: worst habit
When I start to feel too much of a negative emotion such as apathy, terror, fear, overthinking, and sometimes sadness, I tend to cut myself off or at the very least withdraw from everyone. I either don't respond or I give a short answer, and I try my best to hide myself away in my room for hours on end. I'm not quite sure why I do it, only that it makes me feel better because at least if something happens I won't lash out people and make them hate me even more than they already do.

Get comfy where ever you are! Pile the blankets on or take them off, whatever makes you comfortable.
Take a few calming breathes, just to steady your breath.
Inhale for 4
Hold for 7
Exhale for 8
Breathe in for four
Hold for seven
Let it go for eight
Inhale for 4
Hold for 7
Exhale for 8
Imagine everything around you melting away into stars.
Small and bright specks of light, glittering all around you
Some are white
Some are red
Some for light blue
Some have green tint to them
And in the middle of it all, is you.
You're hovering there, weightless
It's surreal, isn't it?
You can see constellations
Some are the official ones
Others are ones you or a friend or family member has created
They're all beautiful, no matter the official-ness of them or not.
And you're among them
Because you are a part of them, and they you.
You are built of the same particles as them,
All forged in the fire of the birth of a universe.
And you have the same majesty as them
The same eternal beauty that is being you
The same glorious knowledge that you both have cores of diamond,
beautiful and deadly and perfect, flaws and all
So soak it in
Because you are among your siblings
And are the ruler of your universe.
As you sink back into the world on Earth, just remember this: everything you see up in space isn't fake or imagined, because everything I said is true. You are beautiful, you are made of star dust, and you are a Ruler of your universe, never let anyone else say anything else, because they are wrong.
