Redemption Mission (pt 1 of 4)

Catra's POV:

Its been three weeks since I exploded on Adora. I wont apologize nor will I feel bad. She broke me. She broke my heart. But shes not the excuse for all your misconduct, Catra. I growl and dig my claws into the floor. I clenched my eyes closed and the images of her face when I told her how I really felt that night. The tears rolling down her cheek. The hurt in her eyes. The realization in those blue orbs broke me. I couldnt let her see me like this. Broken. Pitiful. Pathetic. A Failure. So I had to push her away. Make sure she doesnt come close again. Ever again. Because Im scared? No! What are you talking about? You're the mighty Force Captain Catra that opened a portal to multiple dimensions and killed thousands and almost tumbled the rebellion. I scoff and murmur, "Yeah the mighty Force Captain Catra thats haunted by her actions and the victims of them". I wrap my tail around my legs and tucked my knees up to my chest.

The door opened and I growled, "I told you already Adora! Leave me alone!", thats when I hear familiar giggling. My eyes widen and I look up only to see Double Trouble. "Damn kitten, no need to be so aggressive. Im here to get you, the queen needs to speak with you".  I smirk and say, "Oh? When does she not. What is it?". Double Trouble chuckles and walks over to me, taking off my cuffs and grabbing me by the hands before pinning them against my back and saying, "I have a feeling you will enjoy this mission, very much". I sigh and grumble, "That means Im going to hate it, eh?". Double Trouble winks and says, "Yep!", popping the 'P'.

I sigh and say, "Fuck me, ok then take me to the queen". Double Trouble was about to say something and I rolled my eyes and growled, "I know, I know it wasnt literal I know we're already going". Double Trouble nods and says, "Ok, ok fair point". After we walked the annoyingly pink halls of the Brightmoon Castle we approached a huge door with two ridiculously tall guards. "Holy shit, is everyone here huge? Or is it only these gargantuan ass guards?", I mumble under my breath before Double Trouble elbows me in the ribs and whispers, "Shut the hell up and show respect kitten your in the the Queen's quarters now".

I chuckle and nod before they open the door and reveal a disgustingly "pretty princess" throne room that revealed Queen Sparkles, Lover Boy and Adora. I groan and say, "Oh fuck me, no no no no. Please tell me I dont have to be friends with Simp-A-Roni over there and The Annoying fucking Blonde". Double Trouble chuckles and says, "Imma pray for ya, sanity Kitten", Before she unpins my hands from my back and whispers, "Good luck darling" and turns to leave. I groan and stand in the throne room and received nasty glares from the guards there. I raise a brow and ask, "What? Y'all are acting like you've never seen me before". I look over to see Adora struggling to keep in her laughter, along with Bow. Before Queen Sparkles stands up and says, "Prisoner, you have been summoned to execute a very important mission". I chuckle and say sarcastically, "Ohhhh noooo really?! Like I couldnt read the rooommm. Wow! What an interesting discovery!".

Queen Sparkles' face becomes stoic and she says, "Anywhooo, you will be accompanied by Princess Adora and Bow to help reconstruct things in Thaymor after YOUR people destroyed it. Got it? You will be out for a week, at most". My eyes widen and I grumble, "No, dont the people of Thaymor hate me? Wouldnt they just like, I dont know wanna kill me on sight?". Queen Sparkles only giggles and says, "Precisely, win over their trust and help them. Adora and Bow will be by your side to help. You are ordered to leave now". I go to say something only for guards to grab me and drag me out.

I sigh and lean against the wall before Adora and Bow come out, arms intertwined laughing and giggling. I narrow my eyes at the pair and clench my fists, a fiery feeling in my chest taking over my heart. I clear my throat and say annoyed, "Alright Sparkles' boyfriend and Adora are you guys ready for this mission? I just wanna get this shit over with". Adora smiles and says, "Yeah, I am. What about you Bow?". Lover Boy nods and says cheerfully , " Yep, Im so ready! This'll be so fun". He wraps his arm around my shoulders and says cheerfully, "What do you say Catra?".
