I sat in the lobby of the doctor's office, my foot tapping impatiently as Adora got checked up. I honestly don't understand why I cant go in. Like im her fiancé for christ sakes! I huff, crossing my arms over my chest and standing up.
"Excuse me?", I say tapping one of the nurse's shoulders making her turn, bow and ask respectfully, "Yes my liege?". I quirk a brow and say, "You do not have to call me that ma'am, I just have a question". The nurse nods and asks, "Yes ma'am whats your question?".
"Well my fiancé, shes getting an ultrasound right now to reveal our baby's gender but you see... the doctor wont let me in. May I ask why?"
"Well, doctors usually like to implement doctor-patient confidentiality so that could be why"
"I understand that... but shes my fiancé and I mean I would like to be there with her"
"Maybe the patient herself might want that privacy herself"
My brows knit together as I tapped my chin and nodded, patting her shoulder and saying, "Thank you for your help". The nurse nodded and turned back to what she was doing. I turned around and sat back down, leaning forward and placing my elbows on my knees laying my chin on my hands. Did Adora need space from me? I mean I kind of have been overbearing I guess, but thats because I care about her and love her. She cant blame me for making sure she's alright. I mean whats so wrong with being protective? I mean she's pregnant for gods sake! Wait... what if I stressed her out?! Oh jeez! What have I done?!
"Lord Catra? We're ready for you", Doctor Ryker says bringing me out of my thoughts. I look up at him and nod, standing up and walking nervously into the room. I walked in and saw an ecstatic Adora and immediately all the negative thoughts from before faded when I saw her megawatt smile.
"Please sit down your majesty", Ryker says gesturing to the chair next to the bed that Adora sat on. I nodded, sitting down and looking over at Adora before her hand found mine. I smiled, looking into my favorite blue eyes before turning my attention back to the doctor.
"So... would you like to know the gender of your bundle of joy?", Ryker asks a smile on his face. Adora and I both looked at eachother and exclaimed excitedly, "Of course!". Ryker chuckled, handing Adora an envelope and said, "I'll let momma reveal the gender". I watched Adora's features as she opened the envelope, taking out a picture before tears formed in her eyes and her hand met her mouth.
I knit my brows together and asked softly, "What is it baby?". Adora turned to me, saying "I-Its a baby boy". My eyes immediately filled with tears as she showed me the beautiful picture of our son in her womb.

I stood up, wrapping my arms around her waist and said shakily, "W-We're going to have a son". Adora tucked her head under my chin and wrapped her arms around my torso and cried, "Y-Yeah, our own l-little prince".
