The Great Test: The Great Dragon of the West vs The Royal Heir (pt 2 of 3)

Adora, Bow, Glimmer, Crystela, Colossus, and the woman that King Giosis brought along sat on the bleachers that surrounded the shores of the lake. This was a part of the lake that Iroh had isolated and built a makeshift colosseum out of it for his pupils and for the public, the two opponents meet in the middle while the dictator of the match explains the rules of the duels from the podium located in the littoral zone of the lake.

In this case the two opponents were Iroh and Catra, the dictator of the match being King Giosis. Each opponent entered the audience's view. Catra had a blue robe on while Iroh had a red robe on.

"Where is King Giosis going?", Bow asks with a quirked brow. Colossus sighs and says, "Hes the dictator of the match".

"The what?"

"The dictator, basically the referee".

"Oh, ok so what? Whats his job"

"Well arrowman, his job is to introduce the opponents, have them bow and shake their hands before discussing the rules of the match. After that, each fighter will turn and step away from eachother. Then the dictator, my father, will blow the match horn and the match will begin".

Bow, Adora, and Glimmer were astonished with the tradition that Iroh had implemented in this colosseum. "Wait so what are the meanings of the words on the robes?", Adora asks noticing the words ' Kanji' and ' Raion' strewn on the back of Iroh and Catra's robes. Colossus chuckles and says, "Good eye Adora, the word Kanji on General Iroh's robe means Dragon". Adora quirked a brow before she realized the meaning and says, "Dragon? Oh! As in the Great Dragon of the West right?". Colossus nods impressed with the girl's ability of interpretation and says, "Exactly".

"So wait what does the Raion on Catra's back mean?", Glimmer asks curiously. Colossus narrows his eyes at the feline's robe before seeing the words on her robe and saying, "That means Lion". Adora's brows raised confusedly and asked, "Wait but shes not a lion". Colossus nods, tapping his chin and saying, "You're right about that. But her father was named The Lion King of Taros. That could be why". Glimmer and Adora nodded before laying back in their seats.

"Ladies and gents, we are gathered here today on behalf of the Great General Iroh, The Last Son of Tyushi Gyano who had challenged Catra of Taron, The True Royal Heir of Meliodas and Ryuu", King Giosis announces gesturing towards the two opponents before continuing, "Now bow and shake hands so we can get into the rules of the match".

Catra and Iroh nodded, bowing and shook each other's hands. Catra gripped Iroh's hand and smirked, "No holding back right teach?". Iroh chuckled and said, "No holding back kid". They step back as Giosis clears his throat and says, "The rules of this match are simple. The first opponent whos knocked down and cannot get back up loses. This will be a respectful match. No dirty moves or tricks. If you break a rule, you are ejected from the match and the other opponent wins automatically. Got it?".

Catra and Iroh both nod before Giosis smirks and says, "alrighty, turn and walk away from each other". Catra and Iroh nod, walking away from eachother until the horn was blown. They instantly turned around and on cue Giosis announced, "Let the match begin!".
