Hardships

Seirei Kai (pt 3 of 3)

Catra held her chest, her breathing labored as she staggeringly stood up looking at her brother who was still on his knees, struggling to get up. Her eyes widening when she saw the reason why. The man was bleeding immensely from his side, his blood spilling onto the ground. Catra grunted, the pain that shot up her sides and chest almost threw her off balance.

"K-Kade, stop this here. Surrender", Catra demanded taking slow and heavy steps towards her brother who was panting, clutching his side. Kade threw his head up to look at feline and growled, "No! You're going to have to kill me!". Catra's eyes grew wide has she watched Kade cauterize his wound with the fire he shot from his hand.

Kade stood up weakly, trying to regain his composure that he lost long ago and straightened his back puffing his chest out. Catra sighed, doing the same before Kade took her off guard. The man focused on the chakra in his eye, sending a blaze of black fire at the feline yelling "Amaterasu!". Catra's reflexes kicked in quickly, using her eternal Magenyousa's ability, her eyes becoming blood shot red as she blocked the charcoal flames with her forearm that was wrapped up in Kaen's chakra. Catra hissed as the flames ate at the fabric on her arm before she threw it down to the gravel.

Catra took a step forward, her chakra was depleting slowly as she gathered enough energy to lunge at Kade. Kade growled, getting one knee and wrung his fingers together attempting to immobilize the feline. Kade's eyes widened, as pain shot through his left eye. He clasped his hand over his eye, blood seeping through the little slots of his fingers. D-Damn! Ive used too much chakra. I cant control it.

Kade's eyes widened as he watched Catra jump up in the air, landing on her right leg and slamming her foot into his jaw sending him up in the air. Catra smirked, jumping up and going to slam her fist into the man's back before Kade's magenyousa started glowing red, he whirled around and almost in slow motion slammed their fists into eachother's jaws. Sending them skidding away from each other.

"Catra!", Glimmer yelled as she watched her bestfriend skid against the harsh gravel of the shores her back hitting the front of Kaen's statue. Catra groaned, pushing the debris and rubble that fell on her off before she stood up once again. She panted, putting her fingers together and summoning 4 clones. I need to br careful with the amount of chakra im using. Im getting weaker, I can tell. Catra thought to herself before she and her clones shot at Kade.

Kade snarled, dodging and weaving the harsh punches from each clone before being sent backwards from one of Catra's clones kicking him in the stomach. Kade manipulated the lightning chakra in his arm in the shape of  a spear slashing through the clones in one quick and precise move that had him sliding back for a bit. Kade chuckled and said, "That was a smart decoy move sister". Catra nodded and smirked, "Thanks, I have more for you". Kade looked up to see a rasengan forming in the feline's hand.

Catra lunged for the man, before her eyes widened and she fell to the ground. What the hell?! Catra scolded herself before Kade took this time to get the upperhand. He kicked Catra in the face, sending the feline onto her back with a grunt. Kade straddled the feline's hips and slammed ruthless punches into Catra's face and forearm. Catra's face was bloodied, blood was dripping from her eyes, her nose, her lips, and a gash on the top of her brow. Kade clasped his hands together and  brought them over his head before bringing his hands down into Catra's face with brute and heinous force.

Catra managed to block some of the hits with her forearms but Kade managed to get some hits in aswell. In a moment of weakness, Kade left his neck area open as he brought his hands up. Catra leaned forward grabbing the man by the collar of his robe, and slammed her forehead into his face making the man stagger back before Catra kicked the man in the chest sending him rolling away from her and onto his  back.

The siblings' breathing came in slow pants as they picked themselves up. Catra wiped her mouth, spitting the blood that formed in her mouth out onto the ground before looking up at Kade through swollen eyes. Kade grunted, holding his chest and yelled, " J-Just give it up already!". Catra grinned and said, "You know I wont brother". Before they exploded off their legs lunging at each other, yelling each other's names as they got closer.

"CATRAAA!"

"KADEEEEEE!"

They slammed their fists into each other, Catra's fist came in contact with Kade's rib cage shattering a few of the ribs there as Kade's fist came in contact with Catra's face. They created ruts in the shore as they slid back a bit before they both exchanged ruthless, harsh, and powerful blows.

Catra growled as Kade slammed his fist into her torso, sending her to her knees blood spilling out of her mouth. Kade smirked, as he used his rinnegan's ability and copied Catra's chakra, slamming the fist into her stomach. Catra's eyes grew wide as she looked at the man's arm that was covered in her own chakra.  "This is one of the rinnegan's abilities", Kade explained as the impact of the punch sent Catra into the ground, creating a small ditch where she laid on her back.

Kade chuckled, and cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders channeling the lightning chakra in his body and focusing it into his arm, blue lightning wrapping around the man's arm up to his bicep and he lunged at Catra yelling, " I can finally kill you! Once and for al-", Before Catra shot up, slamming her fist into the man's chin sending him into Kazari's statue leaving a hole in the shape of Kade's body in the stone.

Catra coughed a bit, clutching her chest as she stood up. 'That was a great counter!'. Kade's voice echoed in her head. Catra nodded before her attention was brought upon Kade again. She watched as the man crawled out of the hole he had made muttering something incoherent before he stood up shakily and yelled, " Over and over and over again! JUST GIVE UP AND LET ME CUT YOU DOWN DAMN IT!".

Catra smiled, looking up at her brother and saying, "I cant do that... because Im your sister and its my job to look out for you. Even if we hate each other right? Im going to help you Kade.".

'I am always going to be there for you, even if it is only as an obstacle for you to overcome, you and I have to live together, even if it means hating each other, that...is what big brothers are for' Kade says with a smile pushing Catra's head back with his two fingers.

Kade's took a deep breath, using all of the chakra he had left and used it to form his last Chidori. Catra only stood there as she felt Kaen's presence in her. 'Listen, Im going to give you last of my own chakra. He intends to finish this off with one last blow. ' Kaen's voice echoed through her head. She nodded as she looked up at her brother.

Their eyes narrowed, as they both shot at each other. Catra extended her arm out, the chakra she focused in her hand molding itself into the ball of destruction that is the rasengan before she brought it forward, colliding it with Kade's chidori. The resistance from both sides intense,  as they pushed against each other creating a light that blinded the both of them before everything went white and silent...
