Hold On

Adora's POV:

I watched in horror as Catra fell backwards, a blood curdling scream left her body as she hit the blood sodden ground. Before anyone could hold me back, I transformed into the only thing that could help Catra now.

I shot up from my seat and dashed down the rows of seats, flipping over the railing that protected the viewers and on lookers from any possible damage that could fall upon them and slid down the walls of the ravine above the shore of the lake. I ran faster than I have before, getting closer and closer to Catra and Kade's limp and battered bodies.

I grunted, exploding off my right leg and ran faster and faster before I was standing over her. My eyes widening when I saw the damage that she and her brother had caused to each other. Catra's right arm had been blown off from the bicep down, a nub was left of her arm. I felt sick to my stomach as I saw the muscle and bone stick out of what was left of her arm. Kade had suffered the same fate, only the explosion burned the entire left side of his torso which was exposed by the battered and singed fabric, all of his ribs penetrated the skin that was supposed to protect his rib cage. Bruises and gashes rid his skin. Blood poured from Kade's lifeless eyes almost like tears that ran down his cheeks. A smile dressed his pale face. I wonder what his last words to Catra were. And if they were the reason why he died with a smile.

Catra's shirt and pants were completely battered, blood spilling from the gashes on her face, arms, torso, and legs. Second degree burns dressed her left arm and the right side of her torso, some of her ribs poked through her skin. Her eye was swollen, bruises kissed her cheeks and jaw.  I dropped to my knees, grabbing Catra's unconscious body and laying it on my lap, holding her body to my chest as tears fell down my cheek and onto her bloody face. "Y-You said you would come back ok", I whispered into her hair closing my eyes tightly trying to suppress my cries. I listened to the sound of her ragged breathing and grit my teeth, holding her closer to me as I cried out "PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME CATRA! PLEASE! I-I CANT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU".

I felt my world come crashing down from the moment she fell to the ground. I held the back of her head, my fingers finding their way in her curly hair my eyes widening when I felt a familiar warmness soak my hand. I pull back a bit, holding her head up with my chest and looking at my hand shakily. I looked down at the crimson that dyed my hand a ghastly color.

I shuddered, clenching my hand so hard my nails broke the skin of my palm. I closed my eyes, feeling guilt and utter heartbreak fill my veins as I let my body control my next actions. Before I knew it, I had my one and only lover limp in my arms. I felt halting hands on my chest and shoulder and grit my teeth, looking down to see Glimmer and Bow looking at me with so much guilt, sadness, and pain that it angered me.

"Move", I growled under my breath, slapping their hands off my body not wanting to argue. "Adora, we need to get her to the hospital ". I clenched my jaw and hissed, " What do you think Im trying to do here Glimmer!? MOVE!". Glimmer sighed and said, "no because we're going with you". My eyes widened and I looked at her, shock filling my system before I smiled and nodded.

Bow's eyes glistened with tears, before Glimmer put her hands on my right shoulder as Bow put a hand on my left and before I knew it we were out of the ravine.

"WE NEED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION!", I yell kicking in the door of the hospital and running through the halls. I heard gasps and murmurs surround me as Bow, Glimmer, and I rushed through the halls.

"Please! Somebody help us!", Glimmer called before a man in a white coat and medical equipment strapped on him. "Surgeons, Doctors, and nurses on me! On me!", The man called immediately grabbing a stretcher and putting a hand on my shoulder. "May I?", He asked gesturing to my fiancée in my arms. I nod and shakily let him take her.

I watched as he put Catra down on the stretcher, nurses, and others in white coats ran to his side as he pushed the stretcher away from us yelling, " A young female with several burns, gashes, bruises, scratches, a extremely severe severed right arm, lateral rib fractures to 6 of her ribs, grade 3 concussion and optical damage to both eyes. We need all surgeons on call immediately!". my eyes widened and I tried to run after them only to be held back by nurses and doctors.

"Let me go! I need to be with her!"

"Ma'am! Please calm down".

"No! Please! Please! Let me see her!

"Ma'am please you're pregnant. This can be harmful for you and your baby. Just sit down please".

"She cant leave me. She cant. Please! Let me be with her. P-Please!"

"We cant ma'am! Im sorry, We wish we could but its pro-"

"BULLSHIT! LET ME GO WITH HER!"

"Adora!"

"Adora! Hun please come down"

"Let me go. Let me go. Let me go. Let me GO! LET ME GOOOOOOO!"

"Ma'am please just calm down, this stress wont do you or our lord any good alright? Calm down. Please try to calm down."

" She cant! God! Please! SHE CANT LEAVE ME!"

"She wont, its going to be ok Adora just please listen to the nice people ok?".

"S-Shes all I have left Bow... she cant leave me".

I broke down, falling to my knees clutching my chest as I sobbed. Hot tears rushing down my cheeks as I could think about is Catra dying on that metal bed without me by her side holding her hand till her last breath. "Please... please", I cry softly before I felt arms wrap around my body.

"Its going to be ok Adora. It's going to be ok. Shes strong you know this. Shes not going to leave us. Leave you. Leave your baby. Its going to be ok, alright hun?", Bow cooed in my ear rubbing my back comfortingly. Glimmer pressed a kiss to the side of my head and helped me up, sitting me down on a lounge chair in the lobby of the hospital.

I leaned into Bow's chest burying my head into my bestfriend's chest and cried until my throat stung and my eyes became bloodshot. I sighed shakily as Bow ran a gentle hand up and down my back and waited until some news.

After two hours of waiting, the door opened and a woman announced, "Family of the new Lord Catra?". Bow, Catra, and I stood up quickly and said, "Here!". The woman sighed walking over to me and said, "You might want to sit down".

My eyes widened and my heart dropped immediately and I nodded sitting down, Bow and Glimmer interlacing their fingers with mine.

"Shes in critical condition but she'll live. Shes comatose right now", I sighed and looked at Bow and Glimmer to see that they both had a relieved look on their face, tears rolling down their cheeks. "Be strong mommy, you can see her tomorrow. We'll have to wait for her to wake up from her coma to get consent on a prosthetic arm. Is that alright? ", I nod and say, "Thats fine, thank you ma'am". The woman nods and says, "We should be thanking Catra for relieving us of Kade's tyranny. Your wife is strong and honestly Im honored to be in the presence of both of you. Thank you for all you and my lord has done to help us". I smiled softly and nodded before saying, "Thank you, truly. I have to thank you and the doctor that took Catra in". The woman nodded before bowing and leaving.

Hold on for me my love, I still need you.
