Melodies of the Night

Catra and Adora cuddled up on their bed after a nice long shower. "Catra can I ask you something?", Adora asks softly running her index finger up and down her lover's abdomen. Catra nods and says, "Of course princess, what is it?". Adora sighs and lets her head drop against Catra's shoulder and she continues running her finger up and down Catra's chiseled abdomen.

"What were you and Bow talking about?", Adora asks cautiously. Catra sighs and runs a hand up and down Adora's back and says softly, "We were talking about the weird terms for significant others that apparently I had to learn alot about. Why do you ask baby?". Adora's eyes widened and she paused the movement of her fingers at how the word 'baby' fell out of Catra's mouth so smoothly. "C-Catra you just said baby", Adora says surprisedly.

Catra raises a brow at the flabbergasted girl laying against her side and says, "Uh.. yeah I did? Is there something wrong with that?". Adora shakes her head and cuddles against Catra's side again and continued tracing each chiseled muscle of Catra'd abs with her finger again. "Why were you so surprised when I said baby Adora?". Adora smiles and presses a soft kiss on Catra's jaw making her hum before Adora says softly, "Because you've never called me baby before Catra. It was a shock at how smoothly you said it". Catra nods and kisses the side of Adora's head and says, "I guess you've called me baby so much that I've started saying it too, eh princess?".

Adora chuckles and nods laying her head on Catra's chest feeling safe in her arms, in her warmth. "You tired my love?", Catra's raspy voice hummed against Adora's ear and she felt butterflies erupt in her stomach. Adora nods and asks gently, "Can you sing me something to sleep baby?". Catra nods and leans her head down and presses a soft and quick kiss to Adora's lips before sitting up and letting Adora lie down on her lap, her back against Catra's torso and her head laying on her shoulder. Catra wrapped a protective arm around Adora's waist, unconsciously lifting her shirt up and placing her hands on the soft skin of her stomach and letting Adora melt into her arms.

"Are you comfortable princess?", Catra asks softly against Adora's ear making a chill run down her spine. Adora nods and says, "Im always comfortable as long as Im with you baby". Catra felt heat rushing up the back of her neck and her cheeks and she could barely contain the smile that threatened to break free. Catra starts massaging the Adora's stomach gently, soothingly smiling when Adora sighed in relief and buried her head into the crook of Catra's neck and shoulder and laying a hand on her chest.

Catra presses a soft kiss to the back of Adora's nape and starts humming a soft tune. Adora smiled softly before closing her eyes and letting her body relax against Catra's feeling her warmth and her arms around her was enough to put her to sleep, but she always wanted Catra to sing to her. She liked listening to her voice.

I love you more with every breath, truly madly deeply do"

Catra sings softly against Adora's ear while rubbing little circles on Adora's hip with her thumb and massaging her stomach with her other hand. Adora basks in this new version of Catra. The soft, caring and comforting Catra.

" I will be strong, I will be faithful 'cause I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living. A deeper meaning."

Catra hummed rhythmically closing her eyes and tightening her embrace on the girl she had in her arms right now. "I love your voice Catra, I just love you in general. I love it when you sing to me, its so refreshing coming back here after a long day and just relaxing in each other's embraces. I miss this", Adora whispers against Catra's chest. Catra smiles and tilts Adora's chin up with her index finger and kisses her softly, closing her eyes and letting all the emotion she's feeling in that moment express themselves in their kiss.

Adora smiles against her lips and pulls back and lays her head against Catra's chest again. "I miss this too baby", Catra whispers against Adora's lips before taking them in hers once again. They both pull back and look into each other's eyes before smiling at each other like teenagers in love. Catra changes their position so that she was spooning Adora, her head ontop of Adora's shoulder as she hums the rest of the song before placing a kiss to the pulse point on her neck and singing softly.

Adora relished in this moment and let her eye lids close. Smiling to herself when Catra hugged Adora closer to her front. Catra heard soft snoring and kissed the girl's cheek before singing quietly, " want to stand with you on a mountain I want to bathe with you in the sea. I want to live like this forever. Until the sky falls down on me". Catra lets herself fall victim of a trance. She watched and ogled the girl in front of her, feeling her heart stop at the little snores that the beautiful girl in front of her let out. Catra releases a full blown smile and murmurs softly against the girl's nape, "I love you so much Adora. Goodnight my princess". Before Catra closes her eyes and falls fast asleep.
