Nightmares and Reassurance

Adora's POV:

I walk into the main room of Mara's ship to see Melog and Catra sleeping. Melog with his tail wrapped around Catra's chest and his head on hers. I giggle quietly at the drool dripping from Catra's lips and the drool that is dropping on Catra's face and head from Melog. I sit on the throne and sigh. How the hell are we going to make it to Etheria with that huge ass blockade blocking us from entering? I heard whimpers and look to where Catra was and saw that she was thrashing around. "No... Adora dont hurt Adora!", I hear Catra yell as she started to thrash a bit more aggressively. My eyes widen and I stand up, walking over to her.

"Stop it, dont hurt her! Hurt me! Its me you want", Catra yells as she struggles in Melog's hold, sweat dripping off her forehead. My eyes soften and I put a hand on her shoulder and whisper softly, "Catra, its ok". Catra's brows furrow and she whimpers a bit more before she jolts awake, chest heaving and body drenched in sweat. She woke up yelling, "Adora!". She looks around before her eyes fall on me. I sigh softly and ask, "You ok?". Catra sighs and puts her face in her hands and says, "Not really, how did you sleep?". I smile softly and say, "Catra, I appreciate you asking how I slept but I wanna know how you're doing". Catra looks up at me and says, "Im fine Adora, just a bit stressed". She wipes Melog's drool off her face and groaned.

I nod and make my way over to her side, Melog wakes up with a yawn licking us both and wrapping his tail around the both of us before going to sleep again. Catra looks at me and asks, "What are you doing Adora?". I smile and press a kiss to her cheek making her face become red and say softly, "Just trust me". Catra nods and I adjust myself against Melog's body, my head laying on his mane and my legs outstretched over his hind legs. I look at Catra and open my legs and gesture for her to come over. The tips of her ears become red as she stumbles over her words, "A-Adora wha-what are you- I mean- Im fine w-with it- but isnt it- uh- I mean- eh- A-Are you sure or...?".

I look at her confused and raise a brow, "Catra what in the holy fuck are you talking about?". Catra's face became tomato red and she scratched the back of her neck and said, "I-uh dont know what you mean? What w-were you uhm talking about?". I look at how flustered she got and looked down at my legs and then back at her and then it clicked. She thought we were going to- I mean I wouldnt be opposed to it but WHAT. My eyes widen and I felt my face heat up and said, "Oh! OH! N-no! Uh- god no! I mean- eh. Ok, thats eh awkward but- I wanted you to-uhm- Yeah, Uh- I wanted to see if you m-maybe could sl-sleep better wit-with m-me... uh, I-I yeah". I ended up looking down at my fingers embarrassed, before I heard chuckling and I looked up to see Catra making her way inbetween my legs.

Catra settles herself inbetween my legs, resting her head on my chest and wrapping her arms around my hips and wrapping her tail around my left leg that was over her shoulders. I smile and reach down, and start massaging her scalp with my right hand. Catra nestled her face into my breasts and mumbled against them, "You're so soft". I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach when I heard her say that. I giggle and run my hand through her short hair and ask, "Are you comfortable". Catra only hums and nods before she adjusted herself and I felt something rub against my thighs. I chose to ignore it, knowing how embarrassed she would be if I acknowledged it. She needs to sleep, shes been through alot. It would be selfish of me to make her uncomfortable just because of a little thing like that. Well... not so little but you know what I mean.

I wrap my arms around her back and close my eyes , listening to her soft breathing and her quiet purrs. I smile to myself, knowing that Im the only one that has made her purr. I basked in her warmth as she basked in mine. Im glad shes here with me. I dont know what I wouldve done if I lost her on Prime's ship. I sigh and rub circles on her shoulders before feeling myself drift off into sleep.
