Dinner With The Enemy

Glimmer's POV:

I looked at Catra in and she only shrugged. I sigh nervously until there was a hiss and the door opened revealing a surprisingly beautifully decorated room with a huge dining table laid out with candles and food on it. "Queen Glimmer of Etheria and Commander Catra of the Horde welcome. Sit down! Sit down please!", Horde Prime says standing up a warm yet creepy smile spread on his face as he gestured for us to sit down. I smile a fake smile and sit down at the table across of Horde Prime making him hum in approval. I saw Catra standing unsurely at the side of the table and kicked her leg from under the table making her grunt.

"Is everything alright Commander?", Horde Prime says putting his hands together and laying his chin on my hands. I cough and murmur so only Catra could hear, "Sit your ass down Catra, you're being rude". Before holding my throat and saying, "Sorry Im dehydrated". Horde Prime nods and says, "Its alright your Majesty. I shall have my brothers fetch some food. Now tell your friend here to sit down". I look at Catra and give her a 'dont test me right now' look which she took and quickly sat down inbetween Horde Prime and I.

He hums and says, "Isnt this nice? Now tell me about yourselves. There must be something interesting between you two if my brothers picked you up from that intriguing planet eh?". Catra chuckles and says, "We're en-", I smile and chuckle and say, "We're engaged!". Catra looks at me like Im insane and I smile at her and mouth, 'Just go with it'. Prime chuckles and says, "You're engaged but you dont like each other? I could hear your argument from the door. Not very discreet". My eyes widen and Catra leans over and puts her hand on mine and says calmly, "Our parents arranged the engagement. We come from enemy kingdoms and my father made a deal with her mother that said if Glimmer agreed to marry me our kingdoms would be united. I dont love her. And she doesnt love me. We're only together for the sake of our kingdoms". Prime hums and says, "That is tragic, eh?". I nod and look at Catra through the side of my eye, narrowing them. Pride chuckles and says, "Well other than that! Is there anything else? Or do you want an update on how long you've been here and where 'here' is? I can tell, you're both curious".

I look at Catra and she nods and says, "Ok, well uh where are we exactly?". Prime smiles and says, "We are in space right now. Hovering over your pretty planet". I nod and ask, "Can we see an update of our people?". Prime nods and claps his hands together and there was a recording that had Adora, Bow, and the princess alliance fighting against Prime's soldiers. I heard the sound of someone sharp being scraped against the metal of the table but ignored it and stood up giving Prime a lethal look and growling, "YOU told me you wouldnt hurt them! stop your troops! Now!". Catra grabs my forearm and says softly with authority in her tone, "Glimmer sit down".

I growl and sit down, ripping her hand off my forearm and regaining my composure. "I never said anything about not touching them your Majesty. But please calm down and enjoy the pastries in front of you", Prime says with a disgustingly nice smile on his face. I watched as 3 fake-hordak's stepped in from the door with plates in their hand. 2 of them putting a jello-like cake thing in front of us with silverware before leaving and another one pouring water in our glasses. They leave and I pick up a bit of the pastry in my spoon and look at Catra with a raised brow.

She shrugs and puts it in her mouth before she chews for a bit and says, "Eh its good, entirely too sweet though". Prime chuckled and punched Catra's shoulder and said, "Into the bitterness in bittersweet cake Commander?". Catra eyes were wide and she nodded rubbing her shoulder. I look at the weird food on my spoon and decide to just go for it and put it in my mouth. Flavors of strawberry, sugar, mango, and chocolate exploded in my mouth and I quickly put more in my mouth, almost half-way done with it before Prime says, "It seems like your fiancé likes it Commander". Catra looks at me with wide eyes and says, "Yep.."

I look at Prime, narrowing my eyes at the smirk on his face and ask, "Whats in it?". Prime leans back in his chair and he says, "Ah, this is an extremely rare recipe from a planet that no longer exists. In fact it was the first planet I conquered. It was amazing to hear their cries as I destroyed their planet". My eyes widen and I spit out the food in my mouth and drop the spoon in my shaky hands. I put my hand to my mouth and look at Catra with tears brimming my eyes. She had a stoic face and continued to eat the cake. How can she eat that?! After learning about what Prime did to all of those people? Oh right shes Catra.

I sigh shakily and ask, "Can I go to my room?". Prime smiles and says, "Yep my brothers will escort you". I stand up, making the chair scrape against the metal floor and let the men take me to a room. They gently push me in and before I could do anything there was a green energy field keeping me inside. I growl in frustration and started hitting it. DAMN IT! I sigh and roll down on the floor, letting myself sob uncontrollably. I felt tired after crying tears of fear and frustration and let my eyes close. Im sorry Adora. Bow. I made a huge mistake.
