Hardships

Seirei Kai (pt 1 of 3)

Catra's POV:

"Catra!", I woke up to yelling and cries before I realized it was Bow and Adora who were yelling. Their cries were accompanied by other familiar voices. I looked beside me, my eyes growing wide in fear when I didnt see Adora by my side. I shot up and ran towards the horrible sounds. I froze when I sensed malice. It cant be. It hasnt been four months yet. I detected something being thrown at me, and caught it with my two fingers.

I adjusted the object in my hand, looking down at my palm eyeing the kunai with a paper attached to its handle that read: "Meet me outside the gates of Poleses or I'll slit your friends throats". I growled, feeling rage feel my veins as I crushed the kunai's handle and turned swiftly on my heel. God damn it, of course its him.

I shot through the streets of Poleses, climbing up the wall of a clock tower and hopping across the roofs of the buildings before the gates that protected this kingdom came into my line of sight. I jumped down from the roof I was on and jumped over the gates without breaking a sweat.

I look around keeping my guard up, darting my eyes around looking for Adora and the rest of them. I saw a figure shoot towards me in my peripheral, I whirl around, awakening my Magenyousa, narrowing my eyes as I saw who it was. I quickly bring my forearms together over my chest in the shape of an X and blocked my brother's harsh punch.

I slid back a bit, creating a ruts in the soft grass. I grit my teeth, watching as Kade jumped backwards looking smug as ever his arms crossed over his chest. "I see you've gotten a bit better little sister", Kade says looking at his nails. I clenched my jaw and asked, "What are you doing here? It hasnt been 4 months yet Kade". Kade nods and chuckles.

"Oh yes Im well aware, but you see I dont give a fuck. Im awfully bored in my castle so I want to get killing you over with. See this is how things here will go... you come with me now so we can have our Seirei kai back in the Taronian valley OR I'll have my servant kill your little girlfriend,  the feminine fellow, the sparkly bitch, the demon prince, the beautiful young lady with the byakugan, and old man Iroh. So what do you say baby sister", Kade says approaching me with his arms behind hid back. I scoffed and said, "You're unbelievable, that wasnt the deal Kade!". Kade rolled his eyes and pinched his nose, "Dear lord baby sister, are you deaf or just mentally unavailable? Literally two seconds ago I said I didnt give a fuck about the deal. Im bored and I need to kill you to relieve my immense boredom. Is that so hard to understand? Sheesh". I roll my eyes and grunt, "You wont be killing anyone Kade. If you decide to do this the only one falling to the ground will be you".

Kade quirked a brow and grinned, "Is that right? This will be a very quick fight. Now chop chop little one are you going to be stubborn or will you take this deal so I dont murder the only 'family' you have left".

I snarled and clenched my fist and said lowly, "Fine. I'll go with you. But if you lay a finger on ANY of them I'll destroy you right here right now". Kade smirked and snorted, "Is that right? You're as pathetic as an armless orphan with progeria. You wouldnt land a single hit on me". I bared my teeth, my ears flattening against my head as shot at him, slamming my fist into his torso as I grabbed the man by the throat obviously taking him by surprise as I watched his eyes widen, saliva shooting out of his mouth.

I gripped his throat tightly and growled darkly feeling my anger pour into every vein in my body , "Is that a challenge?". Kade chuckled and cooed, "Temper temper little one". My eyes widened when I felt something press against my side, I looked down and saw a kunai piercing the fabric of my shirt and nicked the skin of my abdomen. I huffed and looked back up to my brother's dark eyes and said monotonously, "Take us there. I would like Glimmer as my witness. When we get there, what will happen to Adora, Iroh, Colossus, Crystela, and Bow?". Kade grin was enough to send chills down my spine as he said, "They'll be part of the crowd that'll be watching from the distance. The valley has a viewing area which is specifically meant for Seirei kai's. Do not fret, I may have not kept my word about the four month deal but this I will keep my word".
