Karen's POV

Caspian is in his bed-chamber; his injuries taken care of and resting peacefully. Darius' mother, Cornelia, heals him. I stand there, watching the healing process, and honestly, it's super cool. The big cut on his hand after they took the arrow out, just closes, after around an hour of chanting spells and making potions by Cornelia. The mark is still there and the wound is carefully wrapped up in sterile bandages.

Iris, Kevin, and Darius were shocked as hell when they saw Caspian in that condition. Definitely, Iris and Kevin could barely breathe after the training, but I bet on my powers that he went easier on them than he did with me.

I badly wanted to stay with Caspian for the rest of the night and take care of him but he wouldn't allow me. I was a panicking mess when Kevin and Darius finally arrived at the archery chamber after their training because Caspian wouldn't allow me to call for help and told me that we should wait for Darius.

We are currently in our bed-chamber; Darius is planning on bombarding me with questions about what happened.

"Karen, would you care to explain what happened?" asks Darius.

I sigh. "Well, we fought and then things went bad, and then he kinda started manhandling me, so I tried to push him off, it didn't work, so I thought of kicking his balls, but now I am glad I didn't..." I ramble.

"That would have been bad! Like way too bad," comments Iris.

"Yeah, he needs his balls. Like for various purposes," says Kevin, Iris giggles, and Darius subconsciously hides his groin.

"And then, I pushed him real hard and he flew across the room, landing on the targets, and the arrow I shot pierced his hand," I explain.

"Wait, Caspian doesn't manhandle anyone! Especially not women!" says Darius.

"Well, he was kinda cold to me today, I don't know why. And he didn't exactly manhandle me. After we fought, I started sobbing, and then he said that we still needed to train. And I lost it; I was pissed and I started pushing him away, he resisted and yeah...we ended up here." I shrug.

"And you said he 'manhandled' you!" teases Kevin. "Such a drama queen!"

I ignore him and turn to Darius.

"What can I do to control my strength, Darius?" I ask helplessly.

"You use all your strength only at certain times," he begins.

"And all those times ended in disaster." I sigh.

"Yeah, but there should be a way in which you can use your strength without hurting anyone. You didn't hurt me when we trained," he says.

"My strength was used up when you were training me. And hey, I did kick your ass a few times." I say with a smug smile.

"Yeah, what's with you and your obsession with my ass?" asks Darius.

"You guys have to stop flirting and find a solution to control your strength, Karen!" scolds Iris.

"Okay, okay...." breaths Darius and raises his hands in surrender.

"What should I do?" I ask.

"Well, since we haven't dealt with anything like this before, I suggest we test the extent of your powers. It's been long since you guys tested, right?" asks Darius and I nod.

"So you're telling that we don't train tomorrow, instead we test her powers again?" asks Iris, and Darius nods. "So cheat day tomorrow?" she chirps and Darius nods again. "Yay!" she jumps and hugs Darius.

Iris found Darius frightening in the beginning. But now, after spending a lot of time with both Darius and Caspian, she loves them both. Now, she is like a little sister to them and Darius already gave her a nickname, Parvulus, which is Latin for 'little one'.

"But then, we also have another issue to attend to." chimes Kevin.

"What?" I ask.

"When we left we didn't tell our parents anything. You said time works differently here-"

"Oh yeah, now it's past one week you guys are here, so it must be around night time in New York," I explain.

"Doesn't that mean that we should leave anytime soon?" asks Iris.

"Yup, you guys should leave, make up some lie to your parents which would grant us enough time to get through all this shit that's going on, and then return," I say.

"Lie?" asks Iris.

She's so naïve sometimes.

"Come on Iris, just imagine we got our results or something. That's the best time when you lie. And Kevin is good at lying as well." I smirk and Kevin chuckles.

"You're not innocent, at all!" mumbles Darius.

"You thought I was innocent? If anyone here is close to innocent, that your parvulus here. Even she is only barely close." I say holding up two fingers like I am pinching the air.

Darius chuckles and Iris glares at me.

"Since tomorrow is cheat day, I will eat a lot of junk food. None of you are going to stop me! From this minute on, my cheat day starts!" declares Iris.

"Parvulus..." Darius calls warningly but Iris whines again.

"No Darius! I have been training for five days," he says holding up five fingers of her cute, tiny hands, "I crave pizzas, and French fries, and pasta and what not? All you've allowed me to eat is green veggies and baked meat and other not-tasty stuff. Cheat day means you can eat the food of your choices." she says scrunching up her face. "My tummy is upset!" she pats her stomach.

"Upset without the fair treatment of pizzas and French fries and whatever junk food is there," I add before Kevin has the chance to think that she has diarrhea.

"So, when do we leave?" asks Kevin.

"How about we leave now?" asks Iris.

"Now?" Kevin widens his eyes. "I am too tired."

"Well, I am not! Please, Kevin, I want to go to Pizza Hut and Mcdonalds. I want good food!" whines Iris.

"Well, you could barely walk till now, Parvulus. What happened now?" smirks Darius.

"The prospect of food gave her energy back," I say and Darius looks at Iris for confirmation who vigorously nods her head.

Kevin groans and Iris pouts. These two kids. They shouldn't be allowed to be together. Kevin will spoil her little baby ass.

"We can leave now?" she pleads. Kevin looks at her in an almost pathetic way and a giggle escapes my lips. The poor guy must be very tired. I can't blame Iris too. I am quite surprised that she went this far without her favorites. Judging by the look in her eyes, she must really want them. Otherwise, she wouldn't have pleaded Kevin's tired self like this.

"Yeah, we'll leave now." groans Kevin, and Iris hugs him, kissing his forehead.

Did she ever kiss his lips? Maybe she did when I wasn't looking. Whatever!

"Limit your intake." reminds Darius and she nods. She hugs and kisses his cheek and does the same with me.

"I can't say bye to Caspian," she states.

"Iris, you are going to come back. And he probably must be sleeping." I shrug and she sighs.

"So where is the mirror?" asks Kevin. I take the mirror from where I safely kept it and hand it over to him.

"And what do we say?"

"Ut me ad mundanes!" I say.

"Okay!" chirps Iris.

"UT ME AD MUNDANES!" both Iris and Kevin say out loud into the mirror and they get sucked in, disappearing from the room.
